Current Gen = PS4 vs PC, Xbone is DOA

  1. According to Ubisoft, the two big rivals this gen are PS4 and PC. Xbone is dead in the water.

  2. Anecdotal, but I think console gaming peaked with X360/PS4. Only a small fraction of the people I used to play with have next-gen hardware. Of those, exactly 0 have the new Xbox, whereas probably 90% of my play last time was X360.

I blame repetitive content like CoD: Exact Same Warfare. People who love those games have short attention spans.

  3. I've seen articles recently that said PS4 accounted for 70 - 80% of the market in Europe. That can't help.

  4. Pretty much the same in my circle of friends. I know a couple of people with PS4s. Don't know anyone with an Xbone. Most people are on PC or still on last gen consoles. It seems like interest is kind of dropping off with the console crowd. I also blame too many repetitive titles.

  5. Or everyone you know is getting old and starting families etc. I know I have less time to game these days.

Console gaming hasn't dropped off, we're just getting old. The next generation will pick up where we left off.

  6. That's was what I was thinking. I like to think that about 90% of the original PVC members left because they got old and lost interest in gaming.

  7. That's part of it, but there's also a lot of evidence that the Xbone and WiiU just aren't selling. We're basically back to where things were in the 90s where everyone is gaming on a PC or Playstation.

  8. I finally bought Farcry 4 for my Xbone this week. It was $20 and I had a $5 coupon. :)

  9. You're first person I've seen to admit you have an xbone on this forum.

  10. I set my mind to get one when PSN was down last Christmas. So when my income tax refund came in, I got one. I think that was last April. So I haven't had it that long.

  11. You need to start up some good old fashioned face off threads so we can get some decent arguments again.
