Market saturation leads to gimmicks. Not saying they don't look good, but I'd already have to be looking. Not going to throw out a perfectly good TV for it...
I haven't spent much time looking at them but it seems like if all TVs were curved we'd pay extra for one that was flat. Maybe it would be good for gaming from <8 feet away.
I don't see the point myself - seems they'd be good if you were in the optimum position but worse otherwise. Be dreadful for our living room setup.
