Howdy, Here's the deal. I remember playing a video helicopter game with a bud. I forgot who made it and forgot the name of the game too: I was SO bad, but I laughed my head off just getting the coordination factor down. The copter was nothing sophisticated and it had a normal helicopter sound and didn't do anything fancy...at all, which is why i liked it. The background was 2-D and the colors were vibrant but nothing really detailed...green turf, blue sky, etc. Also I remember one of the character's (agent?) names was Akbar... and I think there was some kind of "mission" and it had various levels which I never got to. Not sure if Akbar had to be killed or not. I recall bumping into the buildings they had which sent the copter askew. MAYBE it had a ladder to lower down but can't really be sure. No huge artillery that I can remember. That's about it. I spent hours looking for the name but can't remember if it was Atari, Nintendo, etc. Sorry I can't supply more details can anybody help? TOTALLY appreciate your efforts. Thanks! mod edit: made title more recent post list friendly - khaid
Re: Old helicopter game back in the 90s - or maybe late 80s but don't think so... Tiger Heli sounds kind of like what you're describing: Or maybe it was Desert Strike or Jungle Strike? Desert Strike has a Middle Eastern setting and more complicated missions.
Re: Old helicopter game back in the 90s - or maybe late 80s but don't think so... Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, and Urban Strike.
