Overclocking my CPU to 3.4ghz helped a lot with this. new score: P3035 3DMarks Still some CPU scaling, but it's better.

Wow, damn nice speed. I was thinking of getting a 2nd card, but hear a lot of games can't utilize them. Is that true?
At launch of new games AMD has been shit lately. However, updates have massively improved this, especially in Skyrim and BF3. I'm using the 12.1 preview driver currently. I'd say the cards themselves are fantastic, especially in Crossfire. I think CF is where AMD has a significant advantage with the 6900 series. I've seen it hit 100% scaling in some games, which is unreal. The problem is the drivers. It's not that the drivers are bad exactly; rather, they are just chronically LATE. They usually (everything lately except Crysis 2 tessellation, which Crytek seemed to code without AMD in mind) work well after a frustrating delay for AMD to get their act together. It would be ideal for you if you tend to wait for prices of games to drop a bit rather than buy at launch. I still think the wait is worth it considering that my two 6950s cost less than a single GTX 580 but blow it away in terms of power.
My score dropped a bit moving from my old Crossfire setup to a single GTX 670, but I'm glad to be rid of that trashy XFX 6950. My GTX 670 has provided a more satisfactory experience with the exception of BF3 going crazy. http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3847993 3DMark Score P8813 Graphics Score 8795 Physics Score 10024 Combined Score 7560 GraphicsTest1 40.24 FPS GraphicsTest2 41.15 FPS GraphicsTest3 54.86 FPS GraphicsTest4 26.87 FPS PhysicsTest 31.82 FPS CombinedTest 35.16 FPS Processor Intel Core i7-2600K Processor Processor clock 4190 MHz Physical / logical processors 1 / 8 # of cores 4 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Vendor EVGA Corporation# of cards 1 Memory 4096 MBCore clock 705 MHz Memory clock 3004 MHz Operating system 64-bit Windows 7 Motherboard MSI P67A-GD65 Memory 8192 MB Module 1 4096 MB G.Skill 9 @ 800 MHz Module 2 4096 MB G.Skill 9 @ 800 MHz Hard drive model 1,000GB Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 ATA Device

I'd been meaning to do it but the 670 OC was given me a real hard time. I didn't even mess with the memory so there is a little more room for improvement there. The GPU OC was about the easiest OC I've ever done. Just bumped the multiplier a few times. Short answer is I did it to show you up.

I thought I'd up the challenge a bit and give you something to do. Getting this second card to fit was a bit frightening. The side of the card is pressing against connections to the power switch, LED lights, ect. Nothing snapped thankfully. I was afraid I would bend or break off some of those tiny metal prongs getting it in there. I had some credit that was about to expire and saw another card identical to the one I had packaged with Borderlands 2, so I bought an EVGA GTX 670 4GB SC plus Borderlands 2 for $450.
