Slim PC

  1. I was think of building a slim PC, micro ATX form factor. All I need is a case, CPU, motherboard, and memory. I have the PSU, hard drive and Windows 7. The processor could be anything from a X3 to and i3. My goal is to get the total price under$399 which is what a shipped Dell 620 slim with an i3 2130 and 4GB DDR3 go for.

I'm having a hard time doing it. I can get an AMD X3 with a semi decent case and 4GB DDR3 for about $300 + ~$50 shipping but it's no where near as good as the 620 i3 for about $50 more.

Can anyone do better? The PC is strictly for streaming, storage, browsing.

  2. Just go with the Dell. For low end stuff, their prices are hard to beat.

  3. putting a sff pc together is not user friendly, get a dell dude.

  4. I built at microatx a few years ago. My hands are large so I was raging.

  5. Got an awesome deal today. Dell slim inspiron 620 with i5 Sandy Bridge 2320, 6GB of memory, and AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3 for $400. The normal price is about $800.
