Yeah. It's designed to compete with the Best Buy gaming club thing which is mostly for consoles. It might be good for PC collector versions like the Fallout 4 with Pipboy.
But the master race is still paying $60 for Fallout 4... console peasants would have it for $48 with this deal.
What exactly is GMG? I usually buy directly from Steam... Not gonna lie $40 is what I'm willing to pay for Fallout 4 just from reading the thread. Where can I get a coupon?
They sell Steam codes for better prices than Steam. Like khaid said, 20% coupon is almost always on but that makes it $48 right now. http://www.greenmangaming.com/vouchers/ Amazon has the box for $44 and their warehouse has a used one for $34.80. I didn't think there was such a thing as used PC games anymore. Maybe it's just a damaged box.
I don't get the excitement about the Amazon 20% discount, as it's really just a very late implementation of the same discounts that other products that aren't video games get on a routine basis. And it still doesn't beat just waiting a couple of months and buying used. I got Fallout 4 for $48 from Amazon's own used game stockpile.
Only if you ignore the fact that a 20% discount off the list price is nothing unusual on Amazon for other products. The paperback survival guide is 39% off the list price without a preorder or Prime.
Amazon is engaging in, what can only be called, cunt-ish behavior. I added 4 items to my cart for $24.51... they then reclassify 3/4 items as 'add-ons' and would not ship prime until I got over $25. I've never had that happen before... Interestingly, I think I could've gotten it as 4 separate Prime orders which would cost them more money. I didn't want all those packages, so I closed the gap with a filler item. Just this once.
The "add-on" thing has been around for awhile. There's a lot of inexpensive, lightweight items that fall into that category.
They are which is why I wondered if he changed the shipper. Sometimes Amazon list things with both prime and add-on. The prime item will actually be another seller with shipment fulfilled by Amazon.
Amazon keeps sending me emails about upgrading my account to a business account. I've taken a look and I don't think there are any features that would be a benefit to me.
I'm going to try and sell something in the Amazon store. Amazon's cut will be around 8% while Ebay and PayPal would have been 17%. Amazon also handles all the customer service and shipping to the customer. It seems like a good deal but time will tell.
Ebay sucks the fucking cock if you are seller. Between ebay and paypal fees (same fucking company double dipping) and the fact that no one will ever buy your item unless it has "free" shipping (meaning you eat the cost of shipping or roll it into the price), you can count on losing 1/3 of the value of your item. With low value items, you might end up owing money. Ebay used to have lower fees, but they got greedy as fuck. They don't even do much. Their website basically hasn't been updated in a major way in like 15 years.
