Amazon Prime shipping issues

  1. So far the selling process has not been good. I shipped my package to the Amazon warehouse and Amazon shows it was delivered. I have the sales entry in the system but the item inventory says 0. Amazon policy said I had to wait 20 days before I could open a case to see what is wrong. Today I opened a case and surprisingly I got an email response only 5 minutes later. Here is the core of it.

My interpretation of this somewhat broken English response is that they lost my item and are providing me a reimbursement amount of $353.61. I'm not really sure how they arrived at that number since I would have gotten $404.80 if it sold. I tried to respond with an email to get a better explanation but couldn't and the case was immediately closed. As of yet there are no reimbursements on my seller account. I guess I'll give it another day to see what happens.

  2. Sounds like someone is skimming off the top in the warehouse.

lol. Sell on ebay and ebay and paypal give your butthole a double penetrating with fees. Sell on Craigslist and get mugged for real (mugging by appointment!). Sell on Amazon and your stuff gets stolen by crooked warehouse employees. I wish there was an option for selling on the internet that didn't involve muggers, corrupt employees, or sleazy middlemen stealing from you. Any way you go, the thugs are going to take their cut.

  4. I was able to get a chat going about the case and I asked how they determined the reimbursement amount.

Ultimately what it looks like is they took the lowest priced used item that is selling and subtracted 8% from that. I can't be too angry because this is about how much I would have gotten off eBay with their larger fees. It's still a pain though and I guess it will still be a few more days before I see the reimbursement.

  5. One way or another, the thugs will take their cut.

  6. Got a bribe request from a vendor on Amazon.

No idea how they would get me the $5 since it can't happen through Amazon.

  7. I used Amazon Locker for the first time. Boxed up my return and went into a decrepit Bon-Ton in the shady part of town. The lockers were in a dimly lit area next to the bathrooms.

Scanned the bar-code, door open, inserted item, and closed door. No receipt, confirmation, or indication I completed the task. Hopefully it makes it where it needs to go. The scanned code didn't match the manual enter code I had...

  8. I looked up the closest one to me and I think it was inside of a tire shop which was odd. I'm guessing the business must get paid to keep the locker.

  9. Looks like Amazon will be opening lockers inside of some Whole Foods location. That might work out well.
