  1. Looks awesome.

  2. Would have been better with Christian Bale but it still looks pretty good.

  3. agreed. looks awesome. this and capt America civil war look hotttt

  4. I cannot officially endorse a douchefleck film. One of the leading worst actors of all time.

  5. He's been okay in some recent movies, like Argo and Gone Girl. I think he's actually a pretty good director, just not much of an actor.

  6. 39% on Rottentomatoes. I always suspected this would turn out bad. Douchefleck as Batman and Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is just terrible casting.

  7. It's too bad as I was really looking forward to this. Still, the audience score is at 84 and that means something.

How are people even seeing this movie? The pre-screen reviewers always give good reviews or else they won't be invited again. Haters are probably trolling with the lowest score without watching.

It's at 33% now with 146 critic reviews. Pretty sure it's just a bad movie. The casting is bad and the concept is pretty dumb, so I'm not surprised. No one wants to see Douchefleck as Batman.

  10. I watched this and didn't really enjoy it. For some other context on my opinion, I also did not enjoy the second Avengers, second thor movie, or first captain america movie. I enjoyed the rest of the Marvel universe movies. On top of this, I didn't really like Nolan's batman movies.

I'd say there were 2 things wrong with this movie. I personally don't have any issues with Ben Affleck. The problem is that there's not much going on in this movie as far as character development goes. Marvel universe characters have the benefit of throwing in humor here and there to make the characters enjoyable. This movie didn't have any of this. Also yes, eisenberg's lex was pretty horrible. It was like a mixture of joker and lex's concept which failed miserably. It ended up just being an annoying character.

Bruce's dream sequence plots were only there to confuse the audience. Also the other DC character cameos were pathetic. They could've done much better.

Gal Gadot was great though. The one thing I got out of this movie is that I'd probably enjoy the Wonder Woman movie more.

  11. I suspect massive deleveraging is about to hit comic book movies. If this doesn't breach $400M, some are probably going to be shit canned outright. They are tracking for about $100M in pre-sale tickets though. I think it beats $500M expectations but with shortened shelf life.

  12. I kind of hope that happens. Hollywood is shitting out too many of these movies.

  13. Many of the critics comments seem fairly shallow, IMO. The most common are basically "it's too grim/serious" or "it has too many bombastic action sequences". I'm guessing that it's probably better than Watchmen, which got a 65% on Rotten Tomatoes.

  14. Arstechnica called it the "Showgirls" of superhero movies and said it belonged on an episode of MST3K. I'm betting it has more in common with Batman and Robin than Watchmen.

Also what kind of title is Dawn of Justice? That has to be one of the dumbest names for a superhero movie ever.

  15. Winter soldier is a pretty lame title too. It just sounds like Santa enlisted.

    • lol lol x 1
  16. Dawn of Justice sounds like Denny's screwed up Batman's breakfast order and he decided to punch the line cook in the face.

  17. Hmmm, was thinking of seeing this - thought it wouldn't be great but so much negative feedback has put me off. Think the main thing is I've heard people say don't expect it to be as good as the previous superman; that film was so dull and boring. I'd be amazed if this was worse than that.

I don't get all of the hate that some people seem to have for Man of Steel. I thought it was the best Superman movie ever made, and up there with The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises as one of the better superhero films. For the record, I'm not a fan of Marvel. I prefer DC, and I like the gritty tone of the Nolan Batman movies.

  19. I found it just so dull. I didn't mind the beginning as much but the end fights were just bombastic noise with zero tension or drama. Very disappointing to me, especially given the source material - Superman 2 was a real favourite of mine back in the day.

The end was awesome. The level of destruction in that movie was insane. Michael Shannon was perfectly cast as General Zod. I thought it was great. To each their own I guess.

I'm actually annoyed that they tried to do a cheesy Avengers style "event" movie instead of just making another Superman movie with a properly cast Lex Luthor.
