Nope. Just a magistrate. The magistrate was a pretty cool dude. Everyone who I saw walk out of there seemed pretty happy except for one idiot who was caught drifting/street racing, whose case was definitely going to trial. It was satisfying to hear someone in a position of authority say that the ticket probably never should have been written. As long as you had a clean or relatively clean driving record and could explain yourself he was willing to work out a deal to keep things from going to trial. Quite a few people walked out just owing court costs, which were around $85, much cheaper than a ticket. Other people had their tickets reduced in price. I didn't see anyone get points or school. I got the distinct impression the courts were overworked and they wanted to keep things from going to trial. It was also fast. They did it by video conference and I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes. Even at $85 for court costs, I'm sure they're still raking in quite a bit of money, and people are less disgruntled. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and I would do it again if I get a ticket and it's an option. Palm Beach has douchebag cops, but politically it's very liberal/progressive, which might explain my experience.
It has turned into a common theme that I slow the f down when I'm on I-95 driving down to West Palm Beach/Palm Beach Gardens once I hit Jupiter.
You can speed back up through Broward and Miami Dade. Ft Lauderdale and Miami have real crime, so the cops don't write many traffic tickets. They're too busy dealing with drug dealers, gangs, and masses of homeless people. You have to be driving like a complete asshole to get their attention in either county.
Was this for when you were driving in the hard shoulder after your near miss with the flying bumper (fender)?
Did anyone here realise that there is a new law on workplace pensions coming in later this year? I had no idea until about 30 minutes ago but it makes an interesting read. Also nice that your employer has to contribute a minimum percentage. I spoke to one of the partners about and said that although I realise it was a while off it may be worth making staff aware as I for one had no idea. yes you can opt out but only giving staff a months notice that they would be £50 a month for example would be a bit of a shock to the system. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Pensionsandretirementplanning/Companyandpersonalpensions/WorkplacePensions/DG_183783 I also like the fact that it makes sure that it says that it is against the Law for your employer to 'offer incentives to get you to opt out' or 'imply that you will only get the job if you choose to opt out at an interview'. There are going to be a lot of employers out there who try to get away with this me thinks.
Got my phone back but unhappy they did a factory reset to replace power button. Sent them a complaint email saying I am switching to Samsung at renewal.
I did but its a pain getting all my screens setup, accounts attached etc. Had 2 contact backups on SD card, chose wrong one first time. Spent 10 minutes getting rid of duplicates.
Couldn't you have deleted them all and imported the second one? You should root your phone and get mybackup pro, backs up apps, data, contacts, sms, calenders, pretty much everything.
People generally just set up a video camera (digital camera in movie mode) and record their cell phone. If you're doing a game demonstration and have a fancier video camera, you can just use aux in to the camera for direct line audio. This is generally how the toucharcade guys do it
Nah just wanted to record what shows on my screen to maybe do some app reviews or something like that.
