  1. So what does everyone make of the UK Internet Censorship dealy that's likely coming our way?

  2. Do you mean the logging of who you send email to and what sites you visit?

Not that bothered to be honest, they still can't read content without a warrant so just seeing names of people doesn't bother me.

  3. I was actually referring to the rumours flying around about how the government will be able monitor every single phone call, email, and text message as well as IMs and other popular forms of communication without a warrant. I've not been able to find out what exactly this proposal entails so I guess we'll just have to wait until they make the information public.

  4. That is just scaremongering, they will be able to see who you send things to but not the content, they still need a warrant for that.

They are probably looking for people with an @AlQueda.com address.

  5. Anyone got/looking to get I Am Alive?

  6. Not sure about this one, to be honest. I haven't really heard much about it.

  7. I've heard mixed things - seems a few people love it but more think its a bit lacking. I'm kind of tempted because it looks a bit different and I'm getting a bit of an SOS vibe and I loved that game.

  8. Although I haven't played it, everyone I know who has say it's different but very good...they might be biased though.....

That said, I'm wary since the gameplay has been pretty much started from scratch 3 times before it came out and my general rule is that if a game requires a completely new gameplay system that many times they've done something wrong somewhere.

That said, people who've pimped it to me aren't likely to try and sell me on a shit game since they know what happened to the guy who persuaded me to buy Warhawk and all the expansion packs....

  9. I found out that I passed the jurisprudence exam for psychology in my state. I have the 4 hr, 15 min. Examination for Professional Practice of Psychology (EPPP) to look forward to next. The prices for study materials are wonderful. Many of them range from $800 to $1000 on top of the $504 I'm being charged just to take the damn thing. They rig to test to be difficult enough that a significant number of people don't pass it and have to take it again. 25 of the 225 questions are experimental questions, which they use to evaluate future test questions and adjust the difficulty and make sure there is always a bottom third or so that will not pass it and will have to pay to take it again. Can't wait for this one.

  10. Frankly I'd be somewhat disappointed if I passed it the first time... I'd like to get my money's worth out of my study material. Well good luck man! Hope you don't pass... or at least can live with yourself after you do.

  11. And this is what you do with a 3 foot mouse pad.

  13. 1 foot? That's regular mousemat size. Way to exaggerate, Captain Exaggeration!

  18. That's a relief...

Got an email saying my daughter has been offered our first choice for school, was really worried as they only take 30 kids per year (grade) as it is really small. She goes to the nursery attached to it but that is no guarantee as her best friend has found out as she has been offered a different school which is a bit sad. They only live about 5 minutes walk from us so it just shows how hard it is to get, last year the child farthest away to be offered a place was only 0.23 miles away! Just got to wait for the letter in the post now (sent out today so hopefully tomorrow) so that we can accept the offer.

Been worrying me for a few days that has, it's amazing the little things that get to you.

  19. We got into our school of choice as well although I did like the cheaper one.

  20. My wife said that all the mum's are moaning at the nursery because they all got different schools. Infact we only know of one other child at the moment who has been given the primary school. They are all going on about appealing etc but I can't see what good it will do, if the school has already allocated the 30 places then they have no more room for them.

The thing is most of them live much farther away than us and have been given schools closer to themselves which I see as pretty fair. It takes me about 2 minutes to walk to this school whereas some of the people complaining have to drive etc.

We got the acceptance form in the post so the wife has signed it, dropped it in and got a signed copy to say it has been received. Making sure that my daughters place is secure!
