I sent a link of a video of this guy to Armitage a few days ago. It is an excellent way to demonstrate how someone as incompetent and idiotic as G.W. Bush could be elected US President twice. These type of manics and their followers are the ones voting for such candidates. They are nuts, and there are a lot of them in this country.

On the Pastor... I don't know how so many Christians can get it so wrong. God doesn't hate gays cuz he hates gays, God doesn't hate *being* gay cuz he hates that lifestyle. Yes, he hates being gay but understand it's only because according to Him a male should only marry a female. Normal ppl aren't gay but normal ppl aren't single either. God hates single ppl just as much as he hates gays. A male is supposed to marry a female, one is not to have sex outside of marriage. It's all proof of our sinful way of life. Being gay (homosexuality) is a sin what folks never quite say is being single (when of a certain age ofc... say a few years after development) is also a sin! There is no sin greater than another. In God's eyes all (most) of us fall to one and/ or the other, we're all sinners. It hardly matters. IMO the book should be closed from there. Love not hate, treat others like equals those are the laws I live by cuz it don't matter if their a gay/ fornicating/ ex-con/ hooker/ politician/ devil worshiper! I don't NOT have a plank in mine eye so I don't throw stones. It's biblical. The folks ranting fanatically like this are usually wrong... or should I say mistaken. Ethically I wouldn't slap my gay kid around, I'd tell him God hates him right now and go weep in my chambers.
Christianity is full of massive contradictions. God is supposed to be loving, but he hates gays? And if he's all powerful, wasn't he the one who made people gay in the first place? Why would he hate something he created? How does that make sense? The Christian god is basically a bigoted, hypocritical sociopath, much like Christians themselves. I'll take no god any day over the Christian god.

There's nothing HE (the pastor in question) could do to raise his children not gay, this is an issue left solely up to the individual and God. He shouldn't be proposing an answer, it's not up to him. All he can do is suggest his child repent and change his way. Suggestion, you can't really do anything else... especially once their teenagers.
Except that homosexuality isn't a choice, and is most likely genetic. So you're telling someone they're an evil piece of crap who needs to repent for something they can't change. It was excusable 1000 years ago, because people believed in a lot of stupid stuff back then. But if you believe in that nonsense in this day and age, you're a fucking retard. Humanity will be better off when religion is dead and gone. It causes nothing but hatred and death. No good has ever come out of religion. It should disappear as people become more educated and less ignorant. Sweden is 90%+ atheist for instance, and not coincidentally they're some of the best educated people on the planet. Americans are mostly uneducated hillbilly retards, and not surprisingly, they're extremely religious.
Sometimes I wonder if certain politicians are actually religious and not just putting on a show to win votes and try and advertise them self as a moral person. The other thing I wonder is how many politicians realise that religion is important for keeping uneducated people 'under control' and so accept is as a necessary evil. I'm talking about politicians here moreso than the US, as we are still considered a Christian nation, but by far the majority of those are casuals that practically never go to church. The answer to just about every problem is education, unfortunately a lot of people seem violently opposed to that.

You don't hear much about the good Christians, not to say all the ones you DO here of are wrong, just the good ones can do their work, don't have to be in the spotlight in fact many choose not to, it's just a distraction. @Fusion agreed, I don't think I'm anybody because I'm religious it's nice that it has a sort of 'calming effect' on the masses and tends to keep them in line. I don't see anything wrong with that. Politicians practically never go to church perhaps it's because, you know, a security issue.

Finally something we can 100% totally and truthfully agree on. I watch the atheist experience on YouTube and listen to the podcast and its so fucking hilarious to hear all the crap the theists come out with then hear Matt Dillahunty destroy them. He himself used to be a religious guy for 20 or so years but while training to be a priest he began questioning some of the more retarded stuff and realised its stupid to believe such things. Unfortunately belief or a lack thereof isn't a choice, you can't just choose to believe something, you have to be convinced, that's a simple fact. I have yet to be convinced that there is a god or even seen a good reason to believe in one. Someone called into the show and called religion "mass voluntary retardation" and it's funny how that's true. Too many of these theists are content with jamming the God excuse into questions we don't actually know the answer to yet which actively prevents them from seeking the real answer, and they do it by choice. They choose to not bother trying to find out if their beliefs are true or even justifiable, hence mass voluntary retardation is an accurate way of describing religion. It's a dangerous way to think. Do you really want the people who vote who's in charge of the most powerful country on earth to not care whether their life shaping beliefs are true or just wishful thinking?
