On my new laptop. Loving it so far. Its the same as my brothers but has more ram and processor power he says. At least I am finally back online full time now.
2002. He saids its because it was cold and cut out when it put a load if fuel in for a cold start. Because of it cutting out he said it was bound to happen, it normally starts well but I might put s new set of spark plugs on it. It stays in a garage and we are having a very wet summer. Start of April the whole country was in drought, it hasn't stopped raining since. Yesterday one part of Wales had 100mm of rain. I think in April most of the country had 3x the average and April is normally wet anyway. But i digress, I only do 2000 miles a year and rarely go far, the engine is probably chocked full of carbon. In his words I need to rag it a bit. It needs a service too so that probably didn't help, will get it booked in.
Damn.. 2000 miles a year. That's hot.. I want to live in a high population density part of the US. Take public transportation every day. Pay for gas like... never.
I only use my car on average maybe 1 or 2 days a week. It has been known for it to sit in the garage and not move for up to 14 days. I reaaly don't drive much at all and when I do it is normally short trips. The farthest I have gone in the last year is eastbourne which is less than 50 miles. Only problem with this is that it doesn't give the car much chance to have a proper run and clear itself out.
I agree. Most of the US needs better public transportation. Badly. This country was set up around the idea that gas would always be dirt cheap, which is no longer true.
Just come back from a weeks holiday with the lads over at near Great Yarmouth on the East coast. It was ok I guess but we needed more money. There was no 3G or WiFi in Hemsby where we stayed so I pretty much missed the E3 coverage on youtube, now I have to go and find stuff out while not on holiday.
I learned nothing too new on e3, but check out the last of us and beyond two souls AC3 is pretty cool, their coming out with a totaly seperate psp version featuring a heroine assassin and Ubisoft totally rocked the con. The rest were pretty boring beyond last of us. The media went crazy over... that dog game not made by squaresoft. Oh and Platinum Games announced a partnership with Nintendo with a game named something like project 100 or something. It's pikmin on steroids, looks pretty good! That's an internal name, they hadn't officially named it yet.
e3 is such a joke sometimes. they took away booth babes and stated that they took away the main focus of the show. e3 2012, usher is invited and performs his song for his upcoming music album.
Having a problem playing AVI files. I have the first season of Game of Thrones torrented and once every now and again it freezes and the clock still counts up, then eventually it will be on another scene after missing a part. I have tried with windows media player and also VLC if it was a codec problem but it still happens. The torrent comments from people have nothing bad nor anything about it freezing and then eventually carrying on from another point so it is surely not the files itself. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it as really want to watch this series.
Might be a bad download. One rule I go by is if you're going to pirate something, then do it right. Make sure you get scene releases as they go by at least some type of standard. eztv is a good distributor. Try to redownload and use vlc player and/or media player classic as your player.
I'll have to wait until I go around my mates tomorrow and steal his bandwidth as my mobile dongle wont be enough.
Hardly. They let me due to always helping out with things, chores, babysitting and borrowing my money. Unlimited downloads anyway so it does not matter either way.
Is this an HD encode? Can you watch any other HD encode on that without stuttering? Might just want to try an HD movie or game trailer first just to see if it might be a hardware problem or possibly you just have too much bloat. Even on a brand new install of Windows you can still have bloat, just significantly less but. I have a media player that allowed my fusion notebook to play 1080p when windows and vlc scoffed at it. I'd tell you what it is, but my notebook is in the shop anyway it might not be the problem but if it is I'll dig it up for you in this long ass thread I got.
Im downloading a HD trailer for a film as we speak. What is weird is that when the torrent of season 1 was finished it was in my trash bin for some reason and the torrent not in my utorrent. I put it down to my mates missus or kid doing it. Even more strange is 3 of the episodes do not do that freezing stutter thing at all from the same folder...
Which is why I think it's a bad download. The symptom that you described earlier sounds exactly like a bad/incomplete download of a video file rather than running an HD video file on a weak system. Anyhow, I have a first gen mobile i3 (pre sandy bridge) processor with integrated graphics that can run 1080p x264 video like a champ so it's not that at all. Hell, even the 1.3GHz su7300 core 2 duo in my alienware can run hd video on integrated graphics with no problem.
No, its nothing to do which HD on my system, so it must be just as you say Khaid. I will just download another one tomorrow.
