Best halloween costume ever. Nothin at all... nothin at all... nothin at all... Stupid sexy Flanders!
I had last week off but effectively worked for my wife. Tsk. First day back at School and was involved in GCSE English revision classes. I'm sure time went backwards at some points.
Is the IB program popular in Britain? That's what I did in High School. Thought it was fairly popular in Europe.
Is there an alternative to IB for people who want to take college level stuff early? Over here we also have Advanced Placement. Guessing you have something similar.
At college level they're thinking of introducing something for the top universities but we're not doing anything at school level - there's some extracurricular schemes people can join but nothing formally recognised. Lots of transition stuff at the moment so it's all subject to change.
I just saw an article on the BBC web site that "Omnishambles" had been voted word of the year by the Oxford English Dictionary. Why aren't the UK members of this board using that word more often? Huh? Why not?
Meanwhile, The Oxford American dictionary has GIF as their word of the year, narrowly bating YOLO and Eurogeddon. http://betabeat.com/2012/11/gif-beats-out-yolo-to-become-the-oxford-english-dictionarys-2012-word-of-the-year/
I can honestly say reading omnishambles in this thread is the first time I have ever said the word albeit in my head.
It seems to be an internet meme thing, like awkward overly attached monsly. And socially awkward grim
People who actually say yolo need to be shot in the back of the face. I've yet to actually hear someone say it though, I think it's an Internet myth.
Today I started a laptop with a static shock. That's the second time I've started a computer like that.
From the people who brought you Rebecca Black's Friday comes Thanksgiving. I need to hear Armadeadn's reaction to this because I'm sure it will be priceless. Also, I'm pretty sure the black guy in the turkey costume likes creeping on teenage girls. I'll also just leave this here.
