  1. Is it my imagination or are they shouting 'eggs' in the chorus after mash potato and Turkey.

The words made little to no sense and the paedophile hanging around with the kids worried me.

  2. words cannot describe

omg but I gotta share that second one on my facebook x/

  3. Isn't that the guy who does Elmo's voice?

  4. My thoughts on the thanksgiving song.

This song represents everything that's wrong with music industry. It's so shallow and vapid. It's just a bunch of music executives coming up with the next big relatable kid to use as their cash cow. There is nothing that makes music good or credible in this song. The vocals are just a machine doing the work, I'm willing to bet precisely one princely sum that she wrote neither the lyrics, nor the music for the song. There is no art to be found here. This song doesn't evoke emotions, it doesn't convey a message, it doesn't tell a story. It's just some kid literally describing thanksgiving, that's it. It's the definition of a manufactured song and is quite frankly a massive kick in the balls to every real artist out there struggling to have their real music heard, music that's nice to listen to, music that requires talent. The trouble is that kids are fucking stupid and will want this tune, they'll like it because it's what the music industry is telling them to like. They'll keep buying this tripe and the industry will keep milking them until one day they get old enough to see how terrible this insipid, uninteresting, and inane this kind of music really is. Maybe they'll come to appreciate some real music, music driven by passion rather than money, music that stems from emotions and experiences instead of just saying you like a certain day. But even if they do realise how soulless and corporate these songs are there will always be a younger generation of fucking idiots ready to soak up the absolute shit wank that these record labels pump out and the cycle will continue, all the while real artists who actually have to work hard for their recognition will be sidelined and find it hard to gain fame because the spotlight will be too busy focusing on these puppets with zero musical talent and credibility or even justifiable reason to be in the spotlight and raking in the cash at all.

It not just the fact that the music is shit and people seem happy to lap it up, it's the whole principle of what some of these big labels do that really fucks me off.

  5. I don't think he can really be classed as a big label, he is probably just some chap working from his bedroom in his mum's house writing crappy songs for kids with too much money for a set fee.

She has actually 'performed????' this live on TV, can't find a YouTube link to embed so will have to post the site I found the video on.

  6. Isn't that thanks giving thing an obvious attempt to do some sort of novelty record? Thought it was too transparent to really work like they'd hope.

  7. @armadeadn

A simple "they should all be lined up and shot, and the kiddy fiddler in the turkey suit should be beaten to death with a bat" would have sufficed.

  8. Maybe it's just a song to celebrate the season. Jingle Bells isn't a musical masterpiece either but it pops up every year around Christmas.

  9. The transition from teenage girl angst to hip-hop and back was pretty remarkable.

  10. Yeah, armadeadn doesn't break out of teenage girl angst very often

  11. Xmas is always about the Xmas cheesy music.

  12. Christmas is about Cliff Richard, isn't it?

  13. The music channels have already started to show Xmas vids. Seen Cliff and Shakey tonight already.

  14. Christmas is about Bill Nighy.

  15. That's freaky, that song was on the 'blissmas' music channel the exact same time I read your post. Keep switching to it during ad breaks in shows.

Suppose it is time to start getting christmasy. Went into town last night to watch them turn on the Christmas lights. done 90% of my Xmas shopping too, daughter and family done, just need to finish wife.

  16. lets not think about this any more plaese. It makes babies in Africa shed elephant tears!

  17. Dude, I'm a huge fan of patrice wilson now. I thought the guy only had enough genius for rebecca black, but going through all his works since then.. dude is a musical genius.

  18. I don't like Bill Nighy. I've not seen him in many things but I saw him in Shaun of the Dead and didn't think much of him. I saw him in Hitchhikers Guide in which he poorly portrayed Slartybartfast, but that film was crap from top to bottom anyway, the 70's version was infinitely better. And now I've seen this video of Bill Nighy singing. I do not see the appeal of that man.

  19. He made a good octopus face amn in that film about pirates though

  20. Apparently the whole Black Friday thing is starting to happen over here. Amazon have actually been offering Black Friday feals all week and Apple and Asda (Walmart) are in on it today too?

    http://news.sky.com/story/1015147/black-friday-discount-day-reaches-uk

The Apple deals don't seem too extreme.

    http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/holiday/shopping_event

Amazon are doing the Kindle fire for £99.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/

Asda seem the most agressive, £70 off a 360 with Kinect bundle which has already sold out. Shame I missed this as New Super Mario 2 on the 3DS was only £15 and is sold out too.

EDIT: With Amazon different deals go live at different times but if you use this link you can see what goes live and when but no mention on prices yet, seem to be new ones every 15 mins.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Managed to get nearly 30% off a steam mop for my Mum on Amazon on one of the deals. 75% of them have apparently gone and just over an hour on the time for it, it wasn't on when I first looked at it an hour ago so they are going pretty quickly.
