It has made this thread the busiest it has been in for god knows how long. You should all prey to me.
The EA executives pulling the plug on the series are probably the same jackass executives who pushed it to become what it has.
It's alright. It wasn't bad by any means. But the other two games were better. Especially Dead Space 2, which is easily the height of the series. This latest one was far more action and less horror, especially in the later levels.
It seems like most horror games eventually drift into action territory, resident evil is the obvious example.
Capcom needs to learn the term: Back to basics. That might save the next Resident Evil. That and maybe give it a rest for a few years. Hell, most company's with they're favourite flagship series should take that advise.
That last sentence almost made my head explode. You're right though. Something has to happen to save Resi. I've not played 6 yet but have heard a lot of people saying it's a bad resident evil game. I'm not saying I want them to go back to the tank like controls and fixed cameras but they need to do something. Dead Space has been a better resident evil than resident evil has over the last 4 or so years, but even that has gone the action route now.
I just sent a tweet to Jonathan Ross telling him I heard him on the news advocating gaming in an interview after the gaming BAFTAS last night, and how we need more like him spreading the good word and dispelling the bad image gaming has received over the last couple of years, then I got this email: Nice.
I cannot really say anything to be honest with all the hours, weeks and months of constant gaming I put into WoW years ago, although it was not just solo play.
