I have a spare xcom key for steam if anyone wants it. PM me and I'll send it over cheers. I did offer it to Khaid but he said he'd never play it..
I've actually been following T-Mobile myself. They have an Unlimited everything including 4G data plan that comes out cheaper than Sprint. If stacked on a Family Plan with 4 phones, unlimited everything comes to $40/line. However, I'm still trying to wade through the Terms of Service about if it's actually Unlimited 4G data.
T-Mobile changed to true unlimited in September. http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/22/3258573/t-mobile-unthrottled-unlimited-data-plans Everything is looking up for them since they have made these changes. True unlimited, refarming their networks to open up 1900Mhz in markets (support for hspa on international/unlocked ATT phones), and LTE launch. The next 2 years are going to be very important for them.
What a lovely feeling, not back at work now until April 8th. Got to love the Easter bank holidays for allowing me to do it using only 4 days leave.
You're doing pretty much what I'm doing, except I started my time off today ad it's only costing me 3 days. I used to hate bank holidays as they were usually just busy days for me working in bars and such. Having an office job allows me weekends off AND bank holidays are now something I look forward to.
If anyone wants a Steam key for Red Faction: Armageddon Red Faction: Armageddon Path to War DLC Darksiders let me know.
PayPal is so freaking annoying. They're telling me I've hit a lifetime sending limit and now I need to get their credit card or link a checking account to my paypal account if I want to continue using them.
PayPal is stupid in a lot of ways. I think you can also only ever link 5 cards to the account and then you need a new account. A Guy at work who has used it fir years had this problem. Cards expire every 2-3 years so that means everyone will be affected eventually.
I already had to verify my account once for a special purpose. I went so far as to use a new checking account because I refuse to give them or anyone access to my regular checking account. Unfortunately once you link a checking account PayPal will try to force you to use it for every purchase. So I deleted that account and now I guess my only option is a new credit card.
Why worry about a link to a checking account? That's actually safer than a credit card, as usually your credit card limit will be higher than what you would normally keep in checking on a monthly basis (vs. savings).
I suppose it depends on how you handle your finances but I'd never want any type of fraud with my checking account. A checking account has real money in it and a credit card only has potential debt. If someone maxes out one of my credit cards it doesn't affect me very much. I have other cards I can use while I deal with the fraud. If someone empties my checking I'm screwed because I wont be able to pay my bills until it's resolved. Also in my experience credit card fraud is easier to correct than banking fraud.
My Checking Acct will grab out of my Savings also, if the transaction cannot be covered. I too keep a separate checking account just for PayPal. It makes cashing out easier if you sell things. If you have a Citicard, just use a virtual card for your PP transactions. Although, you will quickly hit the limit with what Grim was saying. Hasn't happened to me though.
Using a checking account is annoying because PayPal always chooses that as the first form of payment.
I've used PayPal for years and years and never had a single problem per the checking account issue. Do you guys worry about your employer having your checking account number for direct deposit?
