well in your defense, almost all peninsulas look similar when you dont see the surrounding land around it.
Paypal are cunts. I need to withdraw funds my account to my bank but when trying to link my bank account I get this: The account you entered would need additional review. Please link a different bank account. If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the 2 amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780. I don't have time for this shit. Its my accounts and my money for fuck sake. Is it possible to use another family members bank to withdraw the money or will they be funny cunts and pull the same shit?
Why's it doing that then? Once I linked my account and verified by entering the deposit/charge, that was it for me.
No clue, this account has been active and verified for ages. I sent them an email kicking off. See what they say tomorrow. Not impressed though. could I link, say my Grans bank and could draw the money to hers or would I have to re-do all of that deposit/charge crap for her bank? So pissed off.
I fucking hate comcast. I hate how I have to rip someone a new asshole on the phone to even get a service appointment with them. I hate how their repair people randomly cancel or show up three hours after the appointment window. I hate how the earliest they can get a repair person out is three days later. I hate how their service people are fine with the shit not working. And I hate that I'm paying $142 a month for internet and cable that goes down at least three times a month. Am I an asshole for expecting the shit to just work for that price? Am I an asshole for expecting same day repair service for that price?
Your TV and internet prices are as high as your mobile (cell) phone prices. I pay £50/month for phone line, TV and Internet. I think it is a thing with cable companies, VM is just as bad over here. I used to have a downed service a few times a month and getting someone out was impossible. Now that VDSL (fibre) is widely available I don't think I would ever go back to cable. Use Sky for TV (satalite and has more bandwidth hence more channels + HD than VM) and they just took over my phone and Internet provider so will be all on Sky soon. Been using our Sky + O2 combo for 18 months now and neither service has gone down once.
My Grans place has a second phone socket in her hallway. If I bought internet and plugged the router in that socket, would the phone in the front room using the other phone socket still work and would the router/internet work from the second phone socket? Or does the phone and modem have to be running together from one socket?
If it is the same line and one socket is a spur then you can use both for phones still. Make sure you put a filter on every socket with a phone plugged in otherwise it will cut you off when it is used. Someone on the phone might also hear interference from the internet without a filter on. If they have Sky put a filter on that too if it is connected to the phone. I assume your gran has no internet at all? You can only have one service on the line. You should really plug the router into the master socket as it will get the best signal as less copper between it and exchange. You can use the spur but you may lose a bit of speed.
A spur? It is just a unused phone socket so it should be the same phone line. I was just wondering as my Grandad can be a bit of a prick even though I would be paying for the internet. So using the second socket and hiding the modem from him would be better. She does not have internet only a BT phone line, but I have had enough of wasting so much on a dongle. So I would save money each month doing this too. a filter always comes with the modem anyway doesnt it? What would be best then?
If it is the same line you will have a master socket where the lines comes into the building and the other will be a spur. Remember it needs power too so there will be a couple of wires so hiding it may take some effort. It will also be a 12 month contract so once you sign up you can't get rid easily. You usually get 2 filters with the kit.
Internet is now a 12 month contract minimum? Ah crap the plug socket is on the opposite wall. Will have to use the master one then. When I had Sky at the beginning of last year I just had to cancel it. Surely when you move you can exchange it to the new place?
You should be able to move it as long as you take it out in your name as obviously your Nan wont be moving.
That is alright then and yes, it would be in my name as they would not take it in theres. I pay double a month for what I would for proper internet so it is a no brainer.
How could something as innocuous ordering shrimp tacos from a Mexican restaurant in the Midwest result in such unpleasant symptoms? I have a bad case of Montezuma's revenge. Waves of unpleasant nausea, stomach cramps, bloating, fatigue, and trips to the porcelain throne.
