Colorado looks very similar to Massachusetts, with the Republican candidates for governor claiming to be pro-choice and supportive of marriage equality. It's basically the Mitt Romney formula: run as a moderate, tread water in office and avoid anything controversial, then claim you're "severely conservative" if you get any traction as a presidential candidate.
Nothing pisses me off more than a candidate that promises one thing to their ultra conformist base and then says another thing to the general public. Who are they lying to? Maybe everyone. Yes. That's exactly it. Conservatives can't win their base unless they promise to abolish abortion but in a general election they lose 60/40 on that issue alone.

Ive had my tinkering head on for a while and have the urge to be modding something. Thought about getting an NES and doing an RGB mod but even non working ones are quite expensive on ebay. As I don't have any spare parts such as a PPU or CPU if it is something like that I wouldn't be able to fix without buying another and hoping the damaged part wasn't dead in the other so it is probably a risk. I have a Mega Drive 2 that I never use, perhaps I could try to get HDMI working in that.
I used to buy old NES consoles from pawn shops and do basic maintenance to them and give them to friends as presents. Pawn shops and second hand stores sell these things for extremely cheap and most of the time in working condition. I usually only had to replace the pin connector.
