  1. Goddamnit. I ate some spicy food, so I wanted something sweet. But it turned out to be too sweet, now I could use something spicy.

  2. Well I can't buy an iPod classic anymore so I will have to get a 32GB iPod Touch I guess. I may not be the biggest fan of Apple products when it comes to phones but there really isn't anything to compete on the dedicated music player market these days.

I can use our old iTunes account which means that all the stuff my wife purchased when she was an iPhone user should be able to be used again which I guess is a plus.

  3. I can't respect your miser ways if you go buy a $250 iPod at the drop of a hat! Have some self respect and stick some aluminum foil in your headphone jack and make due for 3 weeks.

  4. You would be shocked to know that I have probably now spent in the region of £1000($1571) on Christmas presents this year, quite a big chunk of that on my wife and daughter.. So I won't mention it.

  5. I hope 90% of them are presents you know they won't use and you'll get to keep for yourself. That's how I do gift giving... got my dad a Parrot AR Drone and took it back. This year he's getting this:

  6. I've spent £50 on Christmas this year, I'm the grim of Christmas 2014

  7. You need to change your avatar for Christmas Chi.

  8. My nearest Costco is now selling gas below $2 That's like £1.28.

  9. The Tesco near me is selling petrol at £1.13 a litre. I nearly crashed my car!

  10. Rumour has it that it will drop below £1 again after the new year. Prices really are falling fast. Will put some in when I go to Sainsburys on Sunday.

For once the companies are giving us the saving back. Usually it rises fast and falls slowly but all of the heat from the press and the government seems to have worked.

  11. Woo Hoo! Time to buy that hummer.

  12. What mpg does that get?

  13. Was going to drive home to TX over Christmas so I could bring my dogs, and also stop in New Orleans for a bit. The super cheap gas is a huge plus. Should make the trip really cheap.

  14. The prevailing conspiracy is saudi arabia will continue to flood the market with cheap oil to put US shale out of business, implode the Russian economy (because Putin fucked them over Syria), and just send a big fuck you to Iraq and Venezuelan. Since 3/4 of these happen to be on USA's shit list, there is a sub-conspiracy that US govt is involved in these financial shenanigans.

  15. It isn't all good news, the North Sea oil companies are saying that the whole field is on the edge of collapse and they are going to have to lay off loads of staff.

Guess the people at the top can't take any hit to their huge profits so the people at the bottom need to go.

  16. It's my understanding that nobody else is close to OPEC's extraction price per barrel. Anything below a certain price and they can't compete.

  17. The good thing is that it might finally make people realize what a folly shale oil fracking actually is. Not only is it bad for the environment, but it also requires very high oil prices in order to be financially viable.

  18. What about the natural gas they get on the side? I've heard that's still a money maker. I don't believe it though.

  19. So Purch now own Tomshardware and Anandtech. I expect Anandtech to go downhill from here.

With these sites no longer being in competition will they even keep both open in the long run?
