  1. Sure...the devious Muslim has fooled us all with his master plan of doing a teardown of a 1980's digital clock and taking it to school. Only a terrorist or con artist would do a teardown and be proud of it!

  2. This isn't so much a Muslim thing as a shithead trolling teenager thing. I think he even knew he could get away with it. Teenagers are assholes.

  3. Yep, only trolling assholes do teardowns and think there's something important about it. I can't imagine anyone on the internet doing that.

I mean...he could have done something really impressive like order standard off-the-shelf PC parts, follow step-by-step internet instructions prepared by someone else, and then brag about his self-built computer. Now that's the engineering know-how that made America great!

  4. If anyone's racist it's the kid himself. The prank was pretty racist in nature: bring a fake bomb to school, then turn the tables on the accusers by claiming racism. The kid knew exactly what he was doing. I give his trolling project an A-. He got himself a Surface Pro 3, but he also set Muslims back 20 years.

  5. Breitbart couldn't have said it any better.

  6. Or teenagers are just fucking assholes and they're often kind of racist (and homophobic).

But nope, everyone's just too full of hate to appreciate his alarm clock briefcase project that looks exactly like a stock photo of a bomb. When will we all learn to stop stereotyping muslims and sing and hold hands under the rainbow?

  7. The only reason this has gotten any attention is because he is young and Muslim. If he'd been black or white everyone would have just assumed this was childish prank and it wouldn't have become a big production. But because he's Muslim the Internet's social media justice system has to rise up take action.

  8. If he were black or white he probably would have just gotten arrested for bringing a fake bomb to school.

  9. Calling someone a fucking asshole usually qualifies as hate.

  10. Guilty as charged. I hate teenagers. I hate their know it all attitude even though they have zero life experience. I hate their annoying angst. I hate their stupid pranks. Those little punks are just lucky we no longer have corporal punishment.

  11. lol at teardown spin. GG

  12. Alterego is really angry about Windows users being able to build their own PCs for some reason, and I fail to see the connection between that and a kid bringing a fake bomb to school as a prank.

Kids his age grew up in an era of iPhones. Most of them probably don't even own an alarm clock. The teardown explanation doesn't even make any sense.

  13. This guy makes the same "clock" using all the same parts.

  14. Why lol? That's exactly what he did. It's not anything special, but neither is tearing down an iPhone or building a digital clock from spare parts lying around.

  15. Looks like someone building their own PC. Open a box, put the parts in another box.

  16. Got a guy down the street selling a NES 101 system he found in his house. Looks like they go for about $100 on ebay. Wonder if I should offer him $10.

  17. Would be rude not to mate.

  18. Are you sad you can't add your own parts to most Macs now? You keep bringing this up. I think it's a jealousy thing. Or you're worried. Because that Mac Pro desktop you own was one of the last Mac models where everything wasn't glued and soldered on. I think you're terrified that you'll now have to cross over to the Windows PC side, or buy something like an iMac or the trash can Mac Pro where you have no upgrade path. I believe that Mac Pro was from 2008 or 2009. It's time to upgrade.

But like you said, building your own PC has never been easier. And it's pretty cheap. And Windows 10 is pretty nice. And you already have a GTX 970 and Skylake just came out.

  19. Got myself a 32GB Amazon fire phone for $20. I hear they are top of the line tech.

  20. I blame the commercials with the hipster kids for the failure of the Amazon Fire Sale Phone.
