  1. Pretty sure locking out the Google App store was the ultimate death punch. If I keep it I'll be throwing cyanogenmod on it or at the very least trying to put an older version of the Fire OS on it that didn't lock out the Google apps.

  2. Did you mean "final nail in the coffin"?

  3. No. It would have been more like the first nail in the coffin or perhaps original sin.

  4. Did you mean "first steps into hell?"

  5. More like they didn't have a leg to stand on during it's escalator ride to purgatory.

  6. I'm amused by people getting upset about that kid's digital clock. What did they expect him to have done? You either take preexisting clocks apart or you order the parts. It's not a big deal either way...similar to building your own PC. I had friends that grew up to be electrical engineers and all they did as kids was mainly take things apart to see how they worked. They weren't "inventing" anything.

As for the Mac Pro, it's working great. I specifically bought it because it was upgradeable. Next upgrade is probably adding a USB 3 card.

  7. Except your EE friends probably had one of these:

You can make a working clock with some ingenuity (back in the 90s). In 2015 it would be a piece of cake with an Arduino chip + display. Cheaper than the clock he did a teardown with....

Kid was a troll. The corporate executives/politicians recognized a fellow confidence trickster immediately.

  8. USB 3 is in the past, it's all about USB 3.1 now.

  9. No, they just had boxes full of disassembled parts from old computers/clocks/radios/handhelds. Occasionally they'd fix something, but mostly they just took stuff they got in garage sales apart.

  10. Still early days for 3.1…the two 5 TB externals that I have are 3.0, and I want to get a card that doesn't require an additional power source (i.e., removing one of the internal HDDs).

  11. Test

ha looks like tapatalk works just fine.

  12. so another shooting occurred at a school campus where at least 10 people died. shooter posted at 4chan prior to this.

the 4chan murder postings happen pretty often. gives a creepy feeling about such things

  13. Still can't ban guns, would be against your human rights! Second amendment blah blah blah. I think all school buildings should be secured with automated turrets in every room, that way if a mad man comes in with a gun they get shot down and you all get to keep your guns and be safe.

Can you imagine how unsafe you would all be if you were not allowed to procure guns??? Lambs to the slaughter.....

  14. The teachers should be carrying around automatic weapons and shit considering this keeps happening. 4chan must be a place filled with utter scum and ticking time bombs.

  15. 4chan is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. I do enjoy some of the nude boobies pics that get posted there though.

  16. Adblock has been sold and now allows "acceptable-adds" which allows advertisers to pay to have their ads avoid the filter.

  18. Just got home (1am) from a zombie survival thing in an abandoned nuclear bunker. Tripped over one of the fuckers when we got rushed and hurt my bloody knee.

Still, didn't get shot by any of my team mates so did alright there.

Even though you know everyone is an actor, when it's pitch black and you only have 10 rounds + a stupid little torch (flashlight) you really get into it.

  19. I like how you put flashlight in parenthesis for us americans
