Quick question. Someone is taking a Verizon iPhone into Canada. Will they need to turn off voice roaming to avoid roaming charges of will the phone notify them and ask for approval once it detects a Canadian carrier?
It's going to automatically select the carrier for you unless you turn 'Automatic' off under Carrier. That will give you a manual choice if you want to roam. Otherwise, just turn roaming off.
I've spent the last few days dealing with a Kidney stone. It's definitely made my top 10 list of worst experiences of all time. 2 days of pain, discomfort, and projectile vomit. I've heard it's worse than labor pains so I thought it was fitting to name my stone. I'll call him Sir Liam Neeson because it kicked my ass so bad.
Why does it make you projectile vomit? I've started to get a abdominal pains after eating spicy food... I adjusted my diet and use ice cream as a chaser.
I'm not sure why they cause vomiting but I couldn't eat for two days. I couldn't even keep water down.
BAM! Today starts my epic 6 months downtime at work. Gotta catch up on some TV and watching people play games on YouTube.
Well it's probably 4 months downtime till it starts picking up... but around 6 to get back up to speed. Working elec gen side of an utility... 90% of customers scale back in winter and slam gas ops instead.
I still buy and play short story driven games or multiplayer shooters. Quick and efficient. No way I'm going to play any of the massive 60+ hours games anymore... I just read the synopsis on wikipedia and watch the cut-scenes/playthru on Youtube.
Spent about 8 hours today removing a timing belt and I'll probably spend another 6 hours tomorrow putting one back in. Such a pain.

It took me 3 hours just to get the crank bolt off and that included running out to get more tools. I broke one breaker bar and twisted the forged steel of another. I almost gave up right there but 250lbs siting on a 5 foot cheater finally did it. I don't remember my physics calculation but that's a lot of force.
Driving through Nebraska and their fuel stations are playing with my mind. They have two 87 octane gases. One is 87 Regular at about $2.70 and one is 87 Super at about $2.30.
