This is one of those see-saw movies. If you look at imdb, it has 33,000 user reviews already and sits at a 7.9 The general consensus is if you're a fan of warcraft (specifically if you follow the lore) then you'll like the movie. If you're some outsider and/or has no idea of what the lore of the game is, you're fucked.
The Warcraft movie looked retarded. And Khaid is a superfan, so of course he'll tell you to go see it anyway. Or I don't know, go see it and tell us how bad it is.
actually I didn't tell him to see the movie. from what I read from his wow experience posts, he doesn't follow the story at all when he plays so he'll have a bad time if he watches the movie. the movie is for lore fans.
I played the old strategy games going back to the original and WoW, and know more than most people about the lore. I still have no interest in the movie, lol.
maybe i should've said warcraft fans with knowledge of the lore? i wouldn't expect you to watch a movie of a game you're not a fan of. for example, there's a ratchet and clank movie that came out but i have no interest in seeing it as i'm not a fan and if i do watch it, i'd probably not enjoy it at all. it suffered alot of what warcraft is getting now. critics and people unfamiliar with the game gave it really low ratings. fans enjoyed it. the movie was created with the fans in mind and treated as such with insomniac games heavily involved with the development (much like blizzard) including the screenplay.
What I got is a promo code for fandango 6/10 -6/12. It has to be redeemed in the next 5 hours (5AM ET) . I'll be out of town so anyone who wants it can have it. Go to fandango pick a WOW movie time between 6/10 and 6/12. Use the code to pay for it. 3D5A-GB54H7-CB4D And if it doesn't work it's not my fault.
It's actually kind of surprising that the SF/Oakland/Silicon Valley setting hasn't been used before...at least not that I can think of.
I left the TV on when I fell asleep, and woke up to some of the most hilarious shit ever. These Cutlery Corner guys sell the cheapest, crappiest looking knives and swords in irresponsible quantities (200 knives for $200, lol), and swing them around in a dangerous and hilarious fashion. The main host guy, Big Jim, always sounds like he's drunk. In one of the bloopers, a rookie salesman breaks a katana while slamming it against the table and stabs himself with it. http://www.avclub.com/article/cutlery-corner-combines-insanity-and-home-shopping-222194 http://www.dailydot.com/lol/cutlery-corner-cable-access/
I can't believe that is all it took to break the sword off. Seems pretty reckless to even sell it. I also can't believe how popular/relevant home shopping still is. One of the judges on Shark Tank is with QVC and pretty much can make or break a product by featuring it.
QVC and HSN are huge with older people who have tons of money to spend, but aren't tech savvy enough to shop on the internet. I'm sure it doesn't hurt sales that many of these old people are in the early to mid stages of dementia and highly suggestible. And I'm not even remotely joking. A lot of other old people are just bored and don't get out much, and some have recently lost a spouse and are depressed. It's a recipe for compulsive shopping and overspending. When my mother in law got dementia and went on a $10K+ shopping spree on QVC and HSN, they acted like it was an extremely common occurrence when we went to return the stuff and immediately asked for our power of attorney (which we had). Even the post office said they had seen plenty of cases like ours before, and told us to just use the loading docks in the back. I still have four crappy HP printers in my garage that HSN wouldn't take back, and that aren't worth enough/are too expensive to ship to be worth the effort on ebay. When I need to print in color, I've just been using a printer until it runs out of ink, then tossing it and getting another one from the garage.
The new Zelda looks and sounds amazing! Now with added RPG elements and stuff. http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2016/06/14/...out-the-new-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-updating
I got a chance to see an idiot play chicken with a train. He didn't get hit but he did manage to get the train stopped which had me stuck for a couple of hours. I guess a near strike warrants checking the track for body parts. The police where literally on the guy in under 5 minutes which was amazing. I almost wondered if they came off the train because they were jumping on and off the train like it was a normal thing for them.
Kinda cool…the Resident Evil 7 demo will be available for download to PS Plus subscribers sometime tonight.
lol I just got carded and couldn't show ID. Not sure if I should take it as a compliment. I look younger than I am but definitely not under 21. The waitress looks 16.
Yeah I forgot. Think it's a PA thing, it'd been awhile since I've done a bar near my hometown. Also remember getting carded for a M rated game around here. Nobody bothers to check in the city.
Always use your parking brake so you don't get crushed like Chekov: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/anton-yelchin-dead-star-trek-904280 And before being too judgemental, the new Jeeps have the most horribly designed shifter I've ever seen. I can totally tell how he thought it was in park when it wasn't. Somebody thought they were being very clever when they designed this piece of shit.
