  1. lol I insta-blocked it on ABP.... I wish they would make a mobile version. Their browser app sucks.

  2. that's the one thing i love about ios allowing ad blocking apps right now. i deleted chrome and just use safari 100% of the time if i'm mobile browsing. i used to rarely ever do mobile browsing on android because mobile ads make it a horrible experience.

  3. Explain? What should I download to block ads on Safari?

ABP is my desktop go-to. Their mobile solution is a standalone browser but it kept crashing.

  4. You download any ad blocker in the app store. I personally use 1blocker. When you open the app, it allows you set up whatever stuff you want to block/whitelist. After that, go into settings, safari, content blocker and enable it. Done. enjoy your mobile browsing experience in safari.

  5. Holy shit!! It's times like these that I don't want to hate you. But I still do.

  6. Looks like I might have to put the hurricane shutters up tonight

  7. Mathew looking spooky.

  8. nah that weatherman just ripped a really rank one

  9. The previous owner didn't leave behind wingnuts for the shutters. I lucked out and got the last two bags of them at the hardware store. Sucks for whoever got there after me.

  10. Are you evacuating?

No. I'm hunkering down. My area has not been ordered to evacuate. Also, there's really nowhere to go. The hotels on the west coast that take dogs are all booked (actually all hotels are booked). No gas stations have gas. We have family up in Pam Beach County, but staying with them would be a bad idea. Palm Beach is going to get hit much worse than Broward.

I should be okay as long as we don't flood. Have a generator and was able to get 15 gallons of gas for it. Have about 25 gallons of water. Our shutters are interlocking steel panels, which are supposed to provide some of the best protection.

If you don't hear from me again, remember me fondly for my delightful scat stories and trolling.

  12. Don't be such a drama queen. It's just a little water at 140mph.

I put a line of duct tape around the edge of my garage door and then a couple of layers of 50lb sandbags in front of it. The neighbor was saying his garage flooded last time we had something like this. He also sandbagged his garage. The intercoastal waterway is across the street from my house. I am worried about the storm surge. They recently did a huge upgrade of the sewers/drainage and pumping station in my neighborhood, but that will only help so much.

The neighbor across from me has no shutters or boards for his big front window. He has gone full redneck with it and parked his pickup truck in front of the window to block debris.

Publix got a big shipment of ice in today. I grabbed some when I walked into the store and by the time I was leaving it was all gone.

  14. where exactly do you live now?

You should stream the whole thing live. And get cash. They say ATM and credit card machines may be offline for days.

  17. oh jeez, i keep forgetting how stereotypical southern florida homes look and you just reminded me.

  18. Well, as long the the neighborhood fire ant life raft doesn't float inside your house, you'll probably be just fine...

  19. Matthew was the biggest non-event since Amazon Prime Day. I never even lost power or cable. I've seen worse thunderstorms.

  20. Well that's good. I was preparing for you to have a straight up MIA session like I did for 8 days after hurricane charley. no power for that length of time in florida during the summer should be illegal.
