  1. You guys are pretty open. Meanwhile, our trio know each other only by our forum names and are vigilant in ensuring no other information is revealed.

  2. Don't you put all your gaming session on youtube?

  3. Anybody know a website where you can commission artists? I've tried a few people on DeviantArt but they are all unreliable goddamn flakes.

  4. Does it depend on the type of art? A digital company logo might be different than painting fresco's on your bedroom ceiling. I know some places that will draw your D&D character for you.

  5. Their jobs section has the specializations so it's not like I was forcing someone outside their skill set. I've tried to use the site twice now with no luck. Once for 2D sprites, but more recently for a logo. I was hoping to have a logo by today but it seems like I'll have to whip something up in MS Paint.

  6. Only the ones where we're insulting supersonic.

  7. Obama just lifted the restrictions on Cuban rum and cigars.

  8. Don't think I've ever had Cuban rum. A friend once convinced us to pay $50 a pop for supposed Cuban cigars from some dude in jersey. Was probably fake but I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

I tried to get into cigars 2 years ago. But they last an obnoxiously long time and I'd get bored in 5 minutes. The 4.5" Macanudos from Wawa is how I roll.

Rum is disgusting, sickly sweet crap. I don't think I've ever had a rum drink without feeling sick/hung over later. I learned very quickly in my college drinking days to avoid rum.

For hard liquor, I mostly stick to bourbon or higher quality tequila. Whisky is okay too, but I prefer bourbon as it is more mellow.

Maybe Cuban rum is better. But I doubt it. I think it's just a crappy liquor in general.

  10. So I became a father officially to a beautiful little girl on Wednesday. My first child as well but i'm not with the mother so i'll be a weekend daddy sadly. We get on so that's a positive I guess.

  11. Congratulations on becoming a father

  12. Cigars are for people that have a lot of time on their hands. Like retired people that got all day to do nothing.

  13. I gave up on Rum a long time ago but then got back into dark rum a little. I find it's taste to have interesting characteristics but I really only mix it with ginger beer to make a Dark and Stormy.

I bought a couple of cheap drones on Amazon. I wanted to learn how to fly them before getting something nice. Eventually I'd like to get a really nice one, like a DJI Phantom 4 or Mavic. One of my neighbors has a Phantom 4 that I occasionally see taking off from his driveway and then flying over the intercoastal. That one has GPS guidance, so after a certain point I think the GPS is taking over and flying it. The one I was playing around with today was the Syma X5C which is a pretty basic trainer drone that most people learn on. It's only $40, so not a big deal if it crashes. It doesn't come with first person view, but you can buy an FPV/Wifi upgrade module that connects to your phone.

  15. I may try a drone someday. I've had airplanes and helicopters and while they may be fun to fly they spend most of their time on the shelf waiting to get fixed from crashes.

  16. Lol that's about right. I think I got an AR Drone in 2012 and last used it in 2012. I seen it around but wouldn't be able to find it on demand.

  17. lol I already lost a drone. The wind picked up and blew it into a neighbor's yard. We have a long history of this neighbor being a belligerent asshole to us, and my wife and I just refer to him as "douche." So basically I'm never getting it back. Good thing it was a cheap one.

  18. The Division is $15. Worth getting?

  19. For that price I think it's okay. It's a repetitive loot grind that's best played with friends. It can be fun but keep your expectations low.

  20. i was playing it up till mid august. The game was a mess. Massive was pretty shortsighted with the endgame. To sum it up, they really messed up the difficulty levels that moving up from hard to challenging difficulty level would increase the mob's damage mitigation by up to 5x. That's just one difficulty level. Time to kill was absurd. You ended up just going cookie cutter builds so diversity was just a facade.

There were so many people leaving the game because of the way it was going along and with bugs that existed since launch. Massive finally stated that were going to redesign the game's fundamentals, listen to what the players were asking for, and open up a public test server to get real feedback from the playerbase. Honestly, the public test server should've been available from the beginning. I feel like ubi tried to minimize funding to massive after the game's release. you could feel how well polished some things were in this game but some game mechanics were so broken that it was like amateur hour. i can only imagine that ubi set unrealistic deadlines for massive to meet for the dlc launch. also, there has has been some established games in the past few years that started as a shitshow and became fan favorites due to some redesigns. battlefield 4 started with a pretty broken multiplayer and then lauched the CTE (community test environment) and they fixed so many things. Diablo 3 was dying a pretty slow death until blizzard listened to their playerbase and rethought the loot process. It did very well and diablo became alive again. Somehow all of these past lessons were ignored by massive and ubi.

fast forward to the present, the public test server is wrapping up this week and the 1.4 patch should be dropping shortly after that. ttk has been decreased. they tweaked threat behavior so you can properly tank now. rebalanced weapons and weapon talents. increased loot drops.. and the biggest change, they added world tier difficulty (similar to diablo's system).

If you get it, your experience from level 1 to level 30 (level cap) will be fabulous. The game was great for that portion. for end game, the game is pretty broken currently until 1.4 launches. on top of that, it's like cmdr said, you need to play with your friends as endgame is all about group challenges.
