  3. I was reading about the Uber sexual harassment scandal. The article referenced the LGBTQIA community. I had to LOL because I only heard of Q a short while ago and now 2 more letters show up.

I think people would be more tolerant of lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals if they dropped the gender dysphoria stuff from the movement. I don't see what it has to do with sexual orientation, and the delusional trannies make the whole movement look bad.

I mean I love lesbians and bisexual women, really enjoy watching their porn. Gay dudes are cool, often make great friends. But trannies disgust me. They're a bunch of mentally ill degenerates who want to mutilate themselves. They never, ever pass for women because men and women have different bone structure and mannerisms. At best, they look like absurd porn bimbo caricatures of women (case in point Gigi Gorgeous), but even that falls to pieces when they start to speak in a deep voice and you realize it's a dude. And tranny "feminists" are the most hilarious shit ever.

This thing was a gay dude that went trans and decided it was a lesbian

  5. Clearing up my server room, finally tore the old Nortel BCM off the wall (bfun will know all about them I am sure) and looked inside, this was running a 130nm PGA370 Celeron at 1.2Ghz, the heatsink looked so tiny. Considering we only stopped using it last year it did well.

  6. You got guts. That's the kind of stuff that usually stays on the wall forever because...just in case.

I know a guy who still has a working punch card computer in his office. Now that I think about it I might ask him to ship it to me if he ever leaves. The guy is old as dirt and won't retire.

  7. Pulled out all of the ISDN in favour of SIPP so couldn't even use it if I wanted to.

When I started working here all those years ago we still had a monarch in a cupboard and we were running a meridian option 11 so we have been entrenched in copper for a long while.

We still had a DASS2 ISDN30 circuit so had to pull a little converter off the wall too.

All the copper I pulled out (which is pretty heavy) that has been replaced by a little bit of switching/routing gear.

  8. So moving to SIP? That's what I've been doing for the last year. I just put SIP trunks on each coast that can handle about 2000 concurrent calls each. I'm canceling the local PRI ISDN circuits and routing all the calls over the WAN to one of the gateways. Last night we were supposed to do our first failover test between trunks but someone's Comcast connection got buggered so might try again tonight.

Yeah we are now fully SIP across the whole firm, vmware hosted virtual PBX managing them all.

We have 3 independent dedicated break-outs, each at a different site, all of the phones are on separate vlans to the normal data and in the event of a failure the routers pass traffic to another site. The sites are linked by separate 100Mb fibre so in theory the system is fully redundant. Put in all Cisco switches and routers to try and make it as reliable as possible.

All running smoothly so far and the phone bill is down about 90% each month.

  10. Yeah, I'm expecting the bills to drop about 60% once we're done. Sounds like you got the failover all worked out. Our unique challenge is getting things synced with the provider. I can route calls out any gateway but the provider doesn't update their side at the same time it's going to be messy. There isn't a standard for this and the solution depends on the provider. Did you configure CUBE on those SIP routers? If so I'm going to hit you up with questions because I got it working okay but I still don't understand the purpose of some of it. Namely how precise does the inbound call matching have to be. I got way too many random DIDs to be pattern matching down to the full DID. I just verify the area codes right now which are the first 3 digits over here.

  11. As you know I am not an out and out network guy, I had a very clever man deal with the routing, lots of the stuff he said went over my head.

My networking switch/router configuration skills have come on the last 6 months but I am still learning as I go along.

  12. It was 74 degree days last week. Today it's 21 degrees with 18-24" of snow and freezing rain.

    Those Chinese hoaxers are assholes.

  15. It's the most seen field on planet earth. I bet you've stared at it for hours.

  16. soon it will have an oil pipeline going through it or a coal pit it its place.

  17. What's so special about it

  18. This is what it looked like 21 years ago.
