The heads on my Brother ink jet were going bad so I decided it was time to try something else. I ended up getting a Dell E525W color laser printer. It actually uses LEDs or something so maybe it's an LED printer. So far so good. The noise and smell make me fell like I'm in the office. These actually got pretty cheap if you get them on a sale.
Thanks, how you all been? I have a kid now, nearly one and a half. Just no time to do many things, but nevertheless it's still cool. My gaming needs has gone over towards my phone, the oneplus 5. Still play games using emulators. I recently bought a tiny Bluetooth gamepad for my phone, it's really cool as it's also a keyring. So if I need to escape, I just play a round street fighter in the loo. I see it as my own version of the Nintendo switch lol
I also have a kid; a daughter she's one in October. Things are still the same and my gaming hasn't changed which is nice. Hope you stick around this time. How old are you now Monkey? I'm still 30 so still youngish. Week left bet your buzzing!
I felt old when I got married but not when having kids. In fact if you watch MTV you may even feel younger. Having kids isn't necessarily an old person thing. Getting old is an old person thing and that's unstoppable and ever present. In someways kids can help anchor you to your youth.
The point is....when I joined pvcf in 2004, I was 17 years old, trust me folks, we're all getting old. Before we know it, we'll be talking about the best hair transplant clinics lol Just kidding, I'm thirty now. But I'd want to complete my family at the age of 35 at least.
Lol, what an awesome answer. I actually bought a gtx 1080 last year. This gen consoles is probably the worst I've seen in the terms of their games line ups. Most are just re releases in HD etc
Yep, lots of HD remasters of previous gen games and multi-platform games that can also be had on PC. I haven't seen anything this gen that I would consider an exclusive killer app/system seller type of game, like Halo on the original Xbox or like Gears of War or Mass Effect 1 on the 360. The exclusives just look mediocre this time around. I totally skipped this console generation. Rocking a pretty decent PC with a GTX 1070.
So Uncharted 4, Horizon, Persona 5 ect are not top exclusives that could not sell the PS4? This generation has been pretty great so far for PS4 users. Xbox is shite though.
Honestly, no. None of those look good enough to make me buy a PS4. I'm not saying they look bad. They just aren't mind-blowing, game-changing, must-haves like exclusives from previous generations. Take Uncharted 4 for instance. The Uncharted games are pretty looking tech demos. But they have so little interactivity you could just watch someone do a let's play on Youtube and have basically the same experience as playing the game. Also, Uncharted 4 isn't anything new. It's just another sequel in an existing franchise. Horizon Zero Dawn is just Skyrim with robot dinosaurs instead of dragons. Also seems like people got bored with it quick. It was the talk of the town for like a week and then was never mentioned again until now. Compare that to Skyrim where it was all anyone could talk about for like 2 years. I have no idea what Persona 5 is. Looks like some Japanese school girl dress up game or something. Pass. I don't see anything this time around like Halo Combat Evolved, Metroid Prime, the original Gears of War, or the original Mass Effect that makes me say "damn, that looks awesome. Better get that system." Nothing looks new or revolutionary. It's a generation of sequels, HD remasters, reboots/rehashes, clones/knockoffs, etc. On top of that, a lot of the games have just been extremely mediocre. Like the developers just don't even care anymore. It's gotten to where console games are released in a state where they are just as or sometimes even more broken than PC games. They need patches and DLC to be what they should have been on launch day. The only two really good games this gen off the top of my head were Doom and Shadow of Mordor, and those were both multi-platform, with PC versions that were better than the console versions.
Horizon Is nothing like Skyrim at all. And we're talking about exclusives here all those I listed are system sellers especially Persona 5 in Japan one of the greatest JRPG series. Uncharted 2 was a big system selling exclusive and Uncharted 4 beats it in every aspect. You just have a high need when it comes to gaming youve been like it for years. Maybe because you've been a PC gamer more than a console One. Maybe your just getting old and only like certain things now?
My PS4 just collects dust. Although I am very excited for Last of Us 2. But that is probably the only reason I am keeping the console and not selling it.
I just noticed that as I typed my last comment, my Gamecube is currently getting more use this year than my PS4. My son found it packed away in a box. I hooked it up for him and he is in love with it. It actually looks decent enough since I have the component cables that are very hard to find. Its not HD, but at least its 480p.
