  1. I don’t even remember the emails I used for photobucket. I’m like an online lizard shedding email addresses and usernames every couple of years.

A lot is tied to my phone though. Haven’t changed that in a long time.

  2. Okay... are we wearing masks now just to keep the anti-vaxxers from committing suicide? It seems like with the vaccine + booster people who are getting covid have a regular cold. Why are we still doing all this extra work on top of it?

  3. It’s winter so it keeps my face warm. Plus I haven’t been sick since all this started. Gotta be something to do with it. I could wear it in stores for the rest of my life.

  4. They should change the rules on filibuster from talking to push-ups. Or jumping jacks.

  5. Our politicians are nearly all old and fat. That would probably result in a bunch of them stroking out or getting taken to the hospital with chest pain.

  6. So two birds with one stone.

  7. So yesterday I managed to land a high-end 3070 Ti at Newegg for about $1000. That sounds crazy but I'm seeing my 5700XT going for about $600 to $1000 on eBay and I figure if I sell mine for at least $700 it's a good deal. Well after some research it seems like selling a GPU on eBay is a real shit show. Ebay is blocking people with no reputation from selling them and I guess GPU buyers fraud is really high against low reputation sellers. Then Crypto currencies started crashing and people were predicting a big sell off of used cards soon so I freaked and cancelled the order. Anyway, I guess I'll just keep waiting. I'm not really in a rush to get a new card anyway.

  8. What should the normal price of that card be? I feel like nvidia and AMD watching crazy people overpay is gonna give them the idea of overpricing it themselves lol.

  9. The 3070 FE MSRP is $499. The 3070 Ti FE is $599 The Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti seems to have an MSRP of 979.99 and that is what I paid. The MSRP is obviously inflated by about $300. So I don't know the true value of anything anymore. That card was just stupid overkill anyway. It takes 4 slots and has an LCD screen and cost more than the cheapest 3080 MSRP. I've seen 3080 for about $900 on Newegg. Normally I'd never pick a card like that but Newegg runs a lottery so one can't be choosy. Heck, Gigabyte is probably making obscene cards to justify the price and they know people will buy what ever they make. New GPU prices dropped last week. Like 5% or something but it might be a trend. If the used market gets flooded with old crypto cards, demand for new cards will drop further. Crypto currency was just banned in China and 7 other countries.

Things might be starting to flip. Newegg has plenty of RX 6600s in stock for around $450. I'm not saying that's great or anything. But actually being able to get your hands on a 3060 equivalent card for just $120 over MSRP from a legit source instead of 3X MSRP from a scalper is a big improvement.

My dog has a large mass on his spleen. He will be going in for surgery first thing in the morning. Usually these things rupture and the dog bleeds out into their abdomen before they can do anything about them (the German Shepherd I had as a kid died that way). He had an abodominal ultrasound Thursday night for another issue (tooth abscess with blood coming from mouth and in stool) and it was just a conincidence that they found it before it burst. He would have probably died in the next couple of weeks if we hadn't found it. He may still die on the operating table tomorrow. This surgery is really iffy, but we've decided we want to try to save him if that's possible.

  12. Good luck monkeydoggi

  13. Hope everything works out.

  14. I lost one of my dogs a few months ago. He had seizures. One night he had one so bad he ended up paralyzed. He could hear us and he could whine but he couldn't even move his eyes. I knew he was done. I let the kids say good bye and then I tried to take him to the vet. He ended up passing away in the car which was probably a good thing. Even 10 minutes at the emergency vet can cost thousands of dollars.

  15. I just had an idea. Not to get too political but if we bundle pet care with free health care I bet it would pass then. It’s a fact that people value their pets over other people and often themselves.

The surgery went well. The surgeon thinks the spleen tumor was benign but we will know soon when we get the pathology back. The surgery still saved his life because even the benign ones rupture and bleed out.

He hates being in a cone and is giving us the stink eye and the cold shoulder since the surgery.

  17. Hopefully that will be the end of it. We had a cat with unknow issues. The vet bill kept going higher and higher with no real diagnosis or solutions. Blood work, x-rays, ultra-sounds. No results. The cat was blind and pooping in her own bed when I decided to put it down. Even then the vet was asking if I wanted to do more test. Sure. Here is another $2000 for a worthless test on a dying cat. Vet clinics are definitely big business now.

  18. The tumor came back benign. So I’d say the surgery was worth it and hopefully he’s got a few good years left.

  19. That's good news.
