  1. I’m all for inclusion and acceptance. Buuuut… I mean….

I mean, what’s to stop a serial abusing dude from hating women so much that he joins UFC as a woman? I don’t know. Maybe I’m out of touch. Maybe I need to get woke. Just seems like it’s ripe for abuse.

  2. lol. That dude being like 6'5" with a protruding Adam's apple just makes it more hilarious. He's a strong woman.

  3. So I got some tickets to see Chris Rock. Figure it’s probably the best time to ever see him.

  4. LOL. I really don't know what the right thing to do at the oscars.

10 years ago I would've felt obligated to escalate and got my ass beat by Will Smith. Rather that over getting slapped in front of everyone. But now my bones hurt for no reason and I don't know if I'd risk it knowing I'd probably lose.

I learned way too much about the Smith family. But I did enjoy the hypocrisy of Hollywood on full display though.

I give his outburst a 12/10 on the Kanye scale.

  5. Yeah. Smith is a big athletic guy. Between all the action movies I’m sure can handle himself.

  6. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is out on Steam now. I played the original and it was okay, but I didn't get why it was so popular. I might try this one. It's on sale for $16.66. That's probably some kind of joke in the game.

  7. My favorite political tactic in America is how everything is the fault of voters. Trump voters. Democrat no-show voters. 3rd party voters. It's never the fault of the politically party running the most disliked candidate of all time.

  8. Mine would have to be the manufactured crisis. Like, just the other day I had no idea that young white children could suffer mental aguish when exposed to the concept of racial inequality. Please, some politician step up and save us from this crisis nobody new existed. Thank goodness the minds of children seem to be completely immune to other types of inequality.

  9. lmao that's hilarious. the problem with fixing racial issues in a country run by white people is that they wouldn't understand it, especially the nuances. it's like trying to explain to your teenager the problems that they will face when they grow up. they'll never really understand until they actually experience it.

  10. I used to believe anybody could learn anything if they put in the time and effort. But I've come to realize that simply isn't true. There are a lot of dumb motherfuckers in the world and you can't teach them shit anyway. The smart kids/people will figure it out on their own but what they'll do with that knowledge is questionable.

  11. GPU prices are almost reasonable now. AMD is listing at about 5% over MSRP and Nvidia at 24%.

  12. Yeah you can get 3060s and 6600s for around MSRP give or take a little. With the way crypto is tanking I bet you'll see a bunch of cards dumped for cheap prices on ebay as well. That has happened twice before in 2014 to 2015 and 2018 to early 2020, both times after crypto crashed.

  13. Now that I can get one, I don't really want one. Maybe when the Unreal Engine 5 games start coming out I'll start shopping. Elder Scrolls 6 might be worth it. I do kind of want a 4k Monitor though.

I'd like to see mainstream cards with more VRAM before I upgrade. The 3070 shipping with 8GB is very disappointing. The 3060 can be had with 12GB, but it isn’t enough of an upgrade over the 1070 I’m currently running in terms of GPU horsepower to be a worthwhile upgrade IMO. I'm holding out for a powerful card with at least 16GB.

I won't repeat the same mistake I did last gen with my 780 Ti and GTX 980. 3GB or 4GB was not enough for the PS4/XB1 gen. You needed at least 8GB like the consoles to have a consistently good experience across all games.

  15. I bought a 6900 XT a few days ago for $950 plus a game and a month of GamePass from newegg and just received and got the card installed this afternoon. It's massive and basically takes up 3 slots worth of room. I upgraded my monitor to a Samsung G9 ultrawide a few months ago, and I really needed more power and more VRAM, and this card has an exceptional 16 GB VRAM, double what my 2080 Super had. I've been pleasantly surprised by AMD's Adrenalin software. It automatically updated my drivers and recognized FreeSync and provides a ton of useful options. It's been running things pretty well so far. I'll probably rebuild the rest of the PC later in the year, hopefully with a 7000 series Ryzen CPU.

What I've seen of FSR 2.0 has looked pretty promising so far, which marginalizes the downside of not having DLSS as an option anymore. I also gave RSR a try, and it did a pretty solid job, although it seemed like it switched itself off later. I'll have to learn the quirks of such things when I have a chance to mess with it more. The only significant downside will be with games that have heavy ray tracing, which lags behind Nvidia currently. This card is obviously far from a "value" option, but in contrast to it selling for thousands via scalpers only months ago, I actually got it for less than the original MSRP plus a game.

Yeah I basically want something on par with a 6900 XT but for like ~$400. That's probably a couple of years away.

  17. 90% of my game time is going to Bloons TD 6 and that could probably run on a Packard Bell 486.

That's the hilarious thing. The most played games at the moment are things like Roblox, Fortnite, and CSGO that could run on a potato computer.

The big AAA games that will actually need these powerful cards like the next Elder Scrolls game and Starfield are still a few years off.

  19. @cmdrmonkey The weird thing about the current prices is the range of cards I'd normally be in the market for, probably $500 to $750, are among the most grossly price gouged. The 3070 Ti (supposedly a $599 card) can currently be found on newegg from $700 to as high as $1000, $50 more than what I paid for a flagship AMD card with the massive pool of VRAM I wanted. There really shouldn't be an overlap in price between these cards considering the 6900 XT is often nipping at the heels of the 3090 (barring ray tracing performance) in benchmarks, but the market is still a bit nutty. The "enthusiast" cards aren't being gouged nearly as much and can even be found below the original MSRP, so they end up in a somewhat similar price range. You know the market has serious problems when the enthusiast card starts sounding like the better value than the mid to high end cards.

  20. Man... peak COVID now seems like the good times when school shootings and rando attacks hit an all time low.
