I tried that weak and mores sophisticateds Stella a while back and it wasn't too bad. Funny how Stella has such a stigma now, when it was newish it had a far more swanky image.

I drank two 660ml bottles of Budweiser in an hr and tbh I didn't even get a buzz.....just needed a hearty piss. I was totally let down in comparison to drinking 4 cans of Stella in the same time period which is frankly Awesome. AWESOME - LIKE TOTALLY! BTW 2 x 660 ml buds for £3 at sainsburys is not to be sniffed at imo.....
Your scientific approach to drunkeness is most impressive. Tesco had a very confusing Budweiser offer which required the use of a calculator. I think they're trying to educate the proles again.
Budweiser is disgusting. Typical watered down piss beer. The worst part is that there actually are some good American beers, like Shiner and Yuengling, but foreigners get the impression that all of our beer is crap.
I don't mind Budweiser - it's not amazing but it's not bad either. I don't think I've ever found a beer I really love, though I did have some nice local-ish ones in Portugal.
I don't mind bud either, but I've only had a few bottles. Are there any full strength US beers? A full strength beer over here is 4.6-5% Alc. vol. All imported US beers I've seen are what we know as a mid strength, 3-3.5%. Of course now the local companies like to market the hangover in a bottle 6-6.5% beers. I know some German beers are as high as 8%, that's damn high for a beer, you definitely can't go comparing that to mixed spirits.
Shiner is full strength. Their hefeweizen for instance is 5.4% ABV. As I said, you guys only get our crappiest beers.

I like it here - nice place interesting stuff going on - I just don't have the time for current gen social consoling. Love the idea hate the reality of it. I'll succumb eventually though.
