I tried to replace the battery in my iPod touch. It's a bit more damaged now than when I started. A second repair attempt will run me about $50. I think I will have to cut my losses sell it as scrap.
Ouch I thought it was supposed to be relatively easy to replace yourself if you had the confidence. I plan to use my evo phone as a media device when I upgrade to my next phone. Coincidentally, I just bought 2 replacement batteries yesterday for 5.50 each muahhaha.
Well like anything you learn most of the mistake the first time you try. I could probably do better on my second attemp. My first mistake was having only one easy pry tool. The tip is rather week and half way through removing the glass the tip got bent. Well I wasn’t going to stop and wait a few days for another so I continued. Then the glass cracked. The glass is only $15 but it looks near impossible to remove the home button and digitizer thing and move them to a new piece of glass. To buy them assembled together would cost $50. Then after fiddling with the new battery several times the cable snapped. Freaking-A I was pissed. The stupid cable is very fragile. And that was after I got it soldered in. I though soldering would be the hardest part but I aced that.
Re: anime. When I was a kid we had the super primitive Rediffusion cable tv system in our house -did anyone else have this? Anyway I remember watching LOADS of robotech cartoons on the film channel that was called Prem1er (correct spelling). I also watched the first ever broadcast of mtv Europe on it....Ray Cokes anyone? Anyways Robotech was the coolest thing I'd ever seen at the time.
Holy Bleem. Some guy on another forum stole my Avatar! I cut it myself so I know it's mine. I bet it was one of you bastards.
From the except you cut out, the guy is talking about the worst coffee he has ever had. He figures that's probably why it's always on sale. And he wonders what percentage of the population drink from the toilet.

A few things I can guarantee you about these bimbos: -Posted lots of personal details on facebook, twitter, etc -Running XP, using outdated versions of IE with a crappy antivirus -computers connected directly to the internet, not through a router/firewall Some people should just be kept away from computers.
