  1. Armadeadn is a perfect example of the market Apple targets. :) I kid! I kid! No I'm serious..

  2. This is all I hear when I see fanboys.

  3. just 15 minutes saved me 15% on car insurance

  4. How much is your insurance?

  6. I've not used an apple product that wasn't awesome. By which I mean it does everything I need it to do and so much more, and it does it all smoothly, quickly, intuitively and on top of that it's fun to use. That's why I like things like the iPod, iPhone and iPad. Why would I consider anything else when this phone is everything I'm looking for in a phone?

  7. Apple products don't do what I need them to do. Their computers can't torrent (no version of peerblock for Mac) or play most PC games so they're pretty worthless to me. They're also majorly overpriced. I can build a better PC for half as much. The iPhone is also seriously annoying when it comes to playing downloaded videos because it has crap for codec support. Everything has to be converted which is time consuming and annoying.

  8. Yeah they are way too expensive but they still do everything I need plus more, that's why for me it's the best phone/tablet. I keep conflicting with myself on the subject of price because on one hand I always say how the iPhone is way too expensive but then I go on to say it's the best phone around, I should expect it to be expensive right? Maybe not the price they ask for it but I know that money is buying a quality product (unlike that shit Blackberry I had to endure, the fact that people compare Blackberrys to iPhones boggles my mind).

  9. We aren't comparing iPhones to Blackberries. We're comparing the iPhone to high-end Android phones. The high-end Android phones are as good or better in a lot of cases.

  10. Perhaps they are. Is it more down to personal preference or are android phones simply better at doing particular things than the iphone no question?

  11. The iphone definitely has a cleaner and more intuitive interface, but the Android phones tend to have better specs and have more capabilities. For instance, my phone has a free 3G/Wifi hotspot feature that allows my phone to act as a wireless router for 5 devices. This is incredibly useful when my internet connection goes down or when I'm traveling and need to tether my laptop. The iPhone can tether, but you have to pay extra for it, and it only does one device. There are a lot of neat little things like that in Android that don't have an iPhone counterpart.

It's a lot like Windows vs Mac. Windows PCs can do a lot more than Macs, but they also have a more complicated interface.

  12. Wait you get wifi tether on Android free without rooting? What carrier?

Do I have to pay for rooted tether on iPhone?

  13. The Nexus phones have a wifi hotspot app included although I think in one of the recent updates on the Nexus S 4G on sprint removed it (specifically for that phone). It's still enabled on all of the other Nexus phones I believe. You don't have to pay to use it on the Nexus phones. Otherwise there are some no root required apps out there for tethering like pdanet.

I replied to you in the other thread, supersonic, I'm not sure if you saw it though.

  14. If it were really like Windows vs. Mac, then you would be admitting that you can "do more" with the iPhone because it has access to a greater range of applications and games than Android. That's the only reason people claim Windows PCs can "do more".

  15. I've found that android phones, if you don't delve into the techy side, are just as user friendly as iphones. You have your marketplace for apps, and your apps show up in a grid. but you can also put widgets for calenders/weather/messages/email/etc on your homescreen.

And you can get new launchers and totally customise how your phone looks and acts if you so wish.

iphones remind me of QQ messenger on phones, everywhere you go you hear the same message cheep. Everyone's the same, which is probably why iphones have the widest variety of cases, so people can feel individual.

  16. Ppl claim Windows PCs can do more because they CAN do more!! (without Apple's express permission) you want to upgrade you video/ sound card? you can do that. Not enough space? HD not fast enough for you? just buy a new HD! Do macs even HAVE SSDs yet?? want to code an indy game, you can do that. (most easily on Linux but...) want to make an mpeg or flash video for your friends, you CAN do that on pc!!

You CAN DO MORE. It's not even a contest.

You don't know how much Apple is even holding you back. That's pathetic, I pitty you :x.

  17. more pity (due to a slow connection)

    double post pls delete...

  18. You can't possibly be serious. Not able to install a new video card or HDD? Can't code an indie game?? Can't make an MPEG or Flash video???

  19. I'm rooted and running Cyanogenmod. I have no idea if the phone came with any kind of tether app. The first thing I did when I got it home was root it.

  20. with half the options PCs give you? I may have been thinking about iOS's inability to play flash... or anything other than mp4/ x264/ html5 or whatever, but even OSX's hardware upgrade options are MUCH less prevalent than PC's. Their license restrictions are TONS more stringent than even Windows based PCs much less Linux. The variety of thing you CAN DO is indeed greater on PC than Mac!
