  1. Seriously. I can't remember the last time everyone was this into a game. Maybe WoW?

  2. I had my graduation ceremony today! Was an awesome day :p

  3. Is it just me or did Nintendo do something very similar to this. Either way I'm calling ULTIMATE GIMMICK CAPS!

  4. The 3DS does AR.

  5.
  6. 12 guests? have we got a lot of lurkers or something???

  7. Probably. They're silently judging all of us. Wankers.

  8. Probably Chinese or Nigerian spammers who can't register because of all of the security.

  9. Cops are assholes and should all be dragged out into the street and shot with armor piercing cop killer bullets.

A huge accident happened right in front of me on i-95. I swerved into the HOV lane to get away from it. A bumper actually landed in the road in front of me right as I stopped. The driver got out and dragged the bumper out of the road. I couldn't have swerved right because there was oncoming traffic.

Maybe a mile down the road I've got my blinker on and I'm trying to get out of the HOV lane. I'm freaked the fuck out by what just happened. Flying bumpers at high speed are pretty scary. I drive past a cop. He stops me and gives me a ticket for driving in the HOV lane without a passenger. He's entirely unsympathetic about the accident. He refuses to radio anyone about it. He gives me a ticket for $166.

I'm pleading not guilty. Fuck him. It's the principle of the thing. Apparently not driving in the fucking HOV lane is more important than safety. It's fine if you die or get seriously injured in a car accident as long as you stay out of the HOV lane. The worst part is I can almost guarantee you this same asshole cop got called to that accident after he was done with me.

  10. To add more fuel to your fire

  11. Cops in Palm Beach are some of the biggest assholes on the planet.

My friend's store had just gotten robbed at gunpoint and the cops were actually waiting for him at the store. Understandably he was in a big hurry to get there. On the way they stopped him and gave him a speeding ticket.

Cops really serve no purpose in society. They don't prevent crime. They just harass people who are trying to go about with their lives.

I'm going to plead not guilty and see if I can get a hold of an accident record. I actually want to talk to a judge because I think what the officer did in my case was wrong. He put a stupid ticket that was all about money ahead of my safety.

  12. I don't know about your area. But the local cops are pretty tight with magistrate judges. Unless you go in with an attorney making their lives hell, you're going to pay that fine + court costs. Welcome to America!

  13. Whatever. I just want a chance to give a judge a piece of my mind. I don't even care if it means more money.

My choices were stay in my lane and die or get seriously injured, or swerve into the HOV lane and get a ticket.

The cop in this case is a fucking asshole who put money ahead of public saftey and I want to go to court and tell everyone that. He deserves to be reprimanded for this.

  14. Let me know how it goes. I did something similar myself, based on the principle of the matter. I came away realizing the whole town was a corrupt piece of shit.

  15. I will. The system is extremely corrupt. Traffic cops are all about making money. Their job has nothing to do with safety like it should. And my case illustrates that. I feel disgusted by the whole thing really. I even found out you can do Saturday court which would make things more convenient. I think a traffic lawyer is maybe $80-100, so maybe I'll get one. They'd probably help me make a more effective argument. I mostly just want to argue my point and win. The money is secondary.

  16. I think the lawyers are in on it too. Unless I'm overly paranoid, the lawyers always say to pay the full fine, but they will "try" to get the points dropped. I think it's all a big scam they work out with the judge for the money. If they cared about safety they wouldn't be so willing to drop points against bad drivers.

  17. The ticket doesn't include any points. It's just a fine.

So this isn't going to fuck up my license or insurance in any way. It's just about the money and the principle of the thing.

  18. watch you do all this and the cop doesn't even show up in court lol

  19. You'll meet with an assistant DA first. If they are nice they'll reduce the charges or drop them.

  20. I hope so. I also feel bad for the people at the accident. Why was the cop dicking around writing a ticket for something not safety related when people were probably injured?

How do you get an accident report?

Also, the bumper landing in front of my car as I stopped and the dude getting out and grabbing it was kind of surreal. I think my brain is still coming to terms with that actually happening. I still don't understand how I stopped in time and the bumper stopped in time that I didn't collide with it. It was definitely one of the weirder things that's happened to me on the road.
