Actually there should be more of them than ever. They are trying to get them to become more common as its the easiest way to make sure new notes get into the system. I find it annoying as hell when I need £2 and have to draw a £10 note out because if it is in my wallet I will invariably spend it. The more machines that give out £5 notes the better.
What you on about fool? I am talking about the ones like outside tesco or in town. Never seen one that gives out fivers.
There is a raffle at work for an iPad2 (winner) and a 3G Kindle (runner up). Its £5 per entry and you can buy as many tickets as you like. Say 70 people work here and they all buy one ticket thats a 70/1 chance of a win, do you think its worth a £5 punt? Could be worth £350 if I sell it! Also we are being told we have to take £1 to the Christmas party, they will draw one persons name and one person gets all of it. I think 50 people are going so I don't mind putting a quid in for a chance of leaving with £50 but not sure what to do about the iPad/Kindle draw. They haven't said if the Partners are going to be allowed to enter the draw. There are 6 equity Partners and if one of those won it would look a bit rigged although they do say all of the proceeds are going to charity. Thing is they can afford to put £100 on 20 tickets whereas I can't!
Just went into Game and saw Skyrim for £22.50 brand new, I was so tempted to get it but I've got too much uni work to do right now to be buying a game like Skyrim
It's a he'll of a bargain but you made a wise decision. You'd never get any work done if you had skyrim, the best game ever made.
That would take serious will power. Damn good incentive to get your work done though. Have you got it yet chi?
haha good one, I have enough trouble doing work without being distracted by the wind and other exciting things, let alone skyrim, if it's still there on monday I'll buy it after I've handed my thesis is as a present to myself.
It's not too bad once you get use to it. Things ramp up a bit each academic year but it's nothing crazy.
yeah i'm sure it won't be too bad, have to learn some wierd ish though. probably shouldn't leave all my work till the last week of term in future... fml!
It's easier if you establish some good habits in the first year - makes life easier when marks start to really count. You settling in OK? What you make of Southampton?
I've always been lazy with work and leave things to the last minute, so I'll need to sort that out. I'm doing good, Southampton is actually pretty nice good nightlife and shops and loads of talent about although someone did try to mug me on my first week here haha.
Yeah, it's not too bad. You need to be careful in certain places like in any other town. St Marys can be a bit rough indeed especially.
