My performance reviews were a joke. The best my boss could rate anyone was average, so they would get a 3% bump, with lower than average getting 2 to 0% raises. He wasn't allow to give good reviews because it came with a 4-5% bump.

 

Leaving at 1 today and left at 2:30 yesterday. This is why I don't use Holiday for the days after Christmas, the 90% of staff that did have now lost out on pretty much a whole day.

 

Ha. I fall into that 90% category but that's fine. Today is the exception. I'll be leaving at 1 as well.

 

Why is my title Kenny Rogers now? I don't get it.

 

I dunno but lookin down the page we have Ape Tit, Arthur Dent and Wannabe... and I guess Totally Gangsta (I need to change my avatar) now. I doubt if any of these were chosen by the account owners.

 

Now I'm mr. snuggles. These all seem like British homoerotic crap. Coincidentally, I actually know the Arthur Dent one.

Just dropped 280 on a GTX 560-448, can't wait till it arrives. OFC I'll be in Vegas (saving my money cuz I already spent it here :/) from the 5th to the 10th lol so hopefully it arrives before than... My mom's gonna be SHIT pissed if she finds out I spent 300 dollars on a video card that's half the fun.

now that I think of it it's more of just a collector's item. The 570 will soon be at about that price point, with the 28nm gpus just around the corner... looks like just another graphics card to put into my collection with the Savage 2000, Savage 4, Banshee and Blade3D... good, it's been a LOOOONG time though.

 

I just found out that the guy who voices Nathan Drake is the same guy who voices Desmon Miles. No wonder Drake's voice sounded familiar.

 

I recognized Jennifer Hale's voice midway through Bulletstorm. It was strange to hear the voice of Commander Shepard from Mass Effect 2/ Naomi Hunter from Metal Gear Solid 4 utter lines like "You still reek like sunbaked asshole."

 

I've just arrived back from the shop and on my way home I was accosted by a couple of young gents on bicycles. Turns out they were Mormons spreading the word of our saviour Jesus Christ. I've never met Mormons before and I was amazed to find out that these guys were exactly like Mormons are on TV. They seemed very polite and friendly and spoke with American accents. Needless to say one of the first things I told them was that I don't believe in any deities or anything spiritual and that I'm a confirmed Atheist. Predictably they persisted with their questions such as did I feel like there was a purpose to life? I believe that the purpose of life is to sustain life. All life on the planet procreates or manages to sustain the survival of their species in one way or another, so I reckon that's the point of life. They then asked if I'd be willing to have a nice chat so they can show me how, based on my own life experiences, I can find hope, faith, and the love of God.

I simply told them they'd be wasting their time trying to convince me of something that life changing without even a shred of evidence. We parted with a handshake and a friendly exchange of Happy New Year and I continued home.

That was weird.

 

They have been here for a while, the big Mormon temple is about 30 minutes drive from me. Go past it a lot when going south.

Met quite a few over the years, odd chaps but nice enough. I do tend to cross the road when I see 2 blokes in white shirts and ties walking towards me as the dress code does rather give them away.

I know quite a lot of Mormon History as we did the American West for a term in GCSE History as my teacher decided to do a module that didn't involve too much of the industrial revolution.
