When tapatalk works, the actual PC layout won't matter as much... to me anyway.

 

I think it's still very vanilla so to speak, they probably need to do a lot of customisation.

A decent recent/active topics page will be what I am looking forward to most, went straight to that on the old forum. The out of the box one that seems to come with this place just shows you a list of recent posts in threads and tis horrible. They are probably very busy so we will probably have to wait a few days for the place to get back to normal.

Wha? No instant chat thread button? Or am I missing it? Not too keen on having the click on quick reply instead of just having a reply box open at the bottom but it's not the end of the world.

Also why does my username not show up?

 

Go into your profile settings and under account settings>look and layout it's the second from the bottom "Use quick reply on topic display:" Put it to "show; on by default"

tapatalk is awesome since you can get the old recent discussions listing style like in original pvc muahhaah

 

Why am I having to use the stupid verification letters each time I post? ANNOYING. Can't read them half the time.

Itchi put on captcha for the first 15 posts for users to stop spam; once you get past that it goes IIRC.

 

I refuse to pay £1.99 for it, I will continue using the forum the old way.

Tis bloody annoying though as now every time I first come to the forum on my phone it pops up and asks me if I want to learn more about tapatalk.

 

Is there going to be a chat button or new posts button? They're the two most used features for me.

 

There is a new post feature on the home page down near the people currently logged in bit. Its a bit rubbish as it just lists recent posts on one page but it will do until they get a proper page set up.

Click on 'view the most recent posts on the forum'.

 

I click on that and it does nothing, it's like it's not even a link. Also it should be at the top. While I'm here, does anyone know why my avatar is tiny?

I don't know how you can click on something in an incorrect manner. I click on new posts and nothing happens, I'm just clicking on some plain text. Also, tiny avatar.

What's all this tapatalk malarkey? Is it worth it? I do find forums to be quite slow and diddly on a phone.

 

No, you need to click 'view the most recent posts on the forum'. I am using it to find all new posts, that's how I am replying to everything.
