Pretty underwhelming E3 IMO. None of the games look interesting. Lots of bland sequels, rehashes, spinoffs, knockoffs, VR versions of existing games, etc. MS is finally giving us the hardware they should have given us back in 2013, except 4 years late and for $500.

    I give this E3 a meh/10

  2. To be fair to Microsoft: Using the inflation calculator, today's $499 would be about $399 in 2005, the actual launch price of the 360. Maybe, they should launch a $100 cheaper 2nd SKU with a gimped HD, just like they did with the 360. Naw... I don't remember anyone actually buying that version.

$299 would be reasonable, $399 is pushing it this late in a console generation, $499 is too much.

For $499 I would just buy the latest high-end card from nVidia or AMD and not even bother with a console.

Also still no solid state storage in consoles? Only peasants still use mechanical hard drives for anything other than mass storage. Also with the super high failure rates of mechanical hard drives, I find it very off putting that the Xbox One still has no easy way to change out the crappy mechanical hard drive when it invariably fails.

  4. The Last Night has my curiosity.

Sony didn't just lose E3. They came in last place!

We’ve just received the final analysis of E3 2017 on social media from Synthesio, the social intelligence platform, and one thing is clear – Sony consistently ranked in the last spots in all categories. That may be because they didn’t really provide any major announcements with the exception of the Shadow of the Colossus remake for PlayStation 4.

Not surprising. Most PS4 fans probably just wanted to pretend that E3 never happened this year.

BTW, The Last Night does look awesome. ;)

  6. I'm kind of excited by what I saw. It seems better than last year but I'm a little disappointed we didn't see any Western fantasy RPGs.

Vampyr is a horror RPG I'm interested in. The graphics are anything special but I don't think it will matter.

  7. Jebus. First Mass Effect Andromeda sucks and now this. I was soo looking forward to Shadow of War.
