I beg to differ. Shinji's destrcution magic seems a little weak but as soon as he gets his sword and shield out things start to die very quickly
I have always been a Melee type in games that has choices(Demon Souls, WoW, Oblivion) so it was natural for me. I upgraded a few pieces of my armour and weapons last nice with some metal bars so that leveled up my smithing a bit.
Ok, I've come to the decision that I'll have to get to level 100 in alchemy invest 7 perks into it to go with my my 100 smithing and enchanting so I can make some absolutely crazy gear with dual enchantments.
Same. I reckon I'll be around level 55 before I can start doing that stuff since I put no perks onto alchemy or enchanting until about level 42.
I'm level 55 now and I still don't have any perks in alchemy, so it's going to take me a damn long while to do this.
I think I got ahead of myself a bit on the main quest and need to spend more time building up my character, as I kept getting smoked by a Frost dragon on the way to Alduin's Wall. My character is level 17 at the moment, but perhaps I can get over 20 today. I think I wasted some time using two-handed weapons early in the game when my character is better suited to assassin style one-handed.
Been playing this since half 9 this morning so needed a break and some food. Damn I am loving this so far. I killed my first dragon earlier which went easier as he got stuck in a wall so I arrow spammed him before he got loose and I finished him off with my 2 hander sword. I thought I would leave the main quest after that and I explored the first city place and joined the Companions so I can get the trophys and also get to become a werewolf. Whats the best way to get more powerful weapons and armour?
Yeah I though so, especially as I never seem to find anything better from looting. I guess I will have to do up my crafting and its perks for weapons and armour.
Just out of curiosity how many of you are playing with the original control scheme and how many have flipped the shoulder buttons like I have (R2 = right hand R1 = shout etc). The reason for this is that I spent most of my Oblivion time playing on the 360 and used triggers to attack and so on. When I played it on the PS3 I had to flip the shoulder buttons because I didn't want to use L1 to block and R1 to attack, I wanted to use the "triggers" because it felt more like the elder scrolls I'm used to. The first thing I did on Skyrim was flip the buttons round so now it's L2 and R2 for left and right hands. It would feel wrong otherwise.
My legendary daedric warhammer does 155 damage plus 12 points of shock damage and 6 points of magic damage (yeah I suck at enchanting). I think I basically one-shotted a dragon the other day with it. It landed in front of me and when I swung it went to a cinematic of me climbing on top of the dragon and killing it with one smack to the back of the head. It was badass. I must have gotten a critical hit.
The conclusion of the Molag Bal quest turned out to be rather good: enchanted mace that automatically traps souls if you use it for finishing + free house.
You get overpowered so quick in this game you don't need a shield. Hell I'm running around with a dagger and a bow in light armor and it's tough to die. Plus I put most of my level ups into stamina rather than HP.
Two handed. While the damage per second is low, they do a massive amount of damage with each hit so you can kill many/most enemies in one or two hits. You also get such good armor later in the game that you don't really need a shield.
Yeah I have been going the two handed route too. It's a shame there is not a 2 2h duel wield perk.(Unless there is) I know there is a 2 1h duel wield though. Most of my level ups have gone into HP with a few into stamina. I don't seem to need stamina much at the moment apart for when I sprint. I am sure that may change later on in the game though.
Yeah, that was a nice little quest. The house itself is very creepy, the voice acting for Molag Bal was good, and I use that mace all the time to fill soul gems.
Well, I just grinded Alteration and Illusion to 100 so that I could have all the perk points I need to make the most effective potions with alchemy. Now I just need to get alchemy to 100 and I can have some ultimate gear.
I'm sick of not being able to find an item with fortify smithing enchantment. Does anyone know where I can get such an item? I've been using a daedric warhammer to boost my two handed but I'm not improving it until I get fortify smithing to put onto some clothing.
