I found several sets of gloves/bracers with +20 smithing on quests. Also, you do realize that you can improve things more than once? Like you could have something that you've already improved to legendary and then improve it again later using buffs.
Yeah, I just wanted to wait until I'd gotten the buffs ready. I went to Winterhelm for the first time today and spoke to that kid, you know the one I mean. I'll be doing the brotherhood soon methinks. I still haven't been to Falkreath yet and I've racked up over 110 hours! This game is too awesome.
Speaking of the Brotherhood. I was on the way to first meet the Graybeards up that huge mountain and one of their followers were waiting for me on a bridge. A few strikes and he was dead. I didnt think nothing of it until I read a note on him stating he was Brotherhood and a hit was out on me, even though Ive not done anyone any wrong yet. Lol. Love this game. <3
This game is huge. The size of it reminds me of some of the older Final Fantasies or maybe an MMO. It's way bigger than Oblivion.
I believe you can get one from a quest, the Forsworn Conspiracy. I had a similar problem, but with finding a fortify alchemy enchantment, took me till level 58 to find my first one.
I found an easy way to get daedra hearts. There's a dude named Enthir at the mages college. He's in the hall of attainment. He carries two daedra hearts at a time and restocks every two days.
I'm getting a little tired of the dragons bones lying around. I've been attacked about 6 times in the college courtyard and all of the dragon skeletons are stuck there. Sometimes they move around and get stuck in walls which is really weird. The silent casting perk is great. No more mob attacks every time I cast a spell.
I've just worked out I need 5 more levels to select the right perks so I can make my ultimate gear. I'm still not sure if the weapons/armour I create will justify the perks I could have spend elsewhere but we'll see. My warrior dude will be all combat, no alchemy or enchanting perks there.
Did you do the Thieves Guild? He's a fence that you meet on one of the missions. You can also offload stolen stuff while buying your daedra hearts.
Speaking of selling loot. I was tired of having to fast travel to 3 or 4 cities just to offload my goods due to the lack of funds the shopkeepers have so i tried this. Go to a shop that buys anything such as belethors goods in white run or bits and pieces in solitude and sell as much as you can (usually 750 golds worth for me). Then stay in the shop and wait 24 hours, then wait another 24 hours and along with restocking their suppplies the shop keeper will have restocked their coin. Very time saving.
Finished all of the main quests, well bar the "bring the thieves guild back to its former glory" one. I think that requires a fair few more quests to be done on the side.. I want to do all these fancy enchantments you are all doing.. so what is the best destruction enchant you can have done? I am a pansy magic caster and I want my destruction to be more powerful..
It's almost faster fast traveling on the PC version rather than waiting 48hrs since the PC version doesn't suffer from crazy load times like the console version. I even miss the protips sometimes.
I saw the yogscast playing it on the pc and the loading times seemed worse than the ones I have, although some still take the piss lol. The stuttering is really getting bad now my save file is 12mb. Can't wait for that patch.
I usually go to Riften to sell my goods. There are 4 vendors located near each other that will buy most anything. Is anyone else playing as a werewolf? I always switch to wolf form when I have to explore a new area of the map. It's faster and nothing can catch me. Speaking of speed. My game glitched last night and my character got super speed. He was so fast it was hard to control.
Yep. I've also enjoyed the fact that werewolf blood means that you can never be poisoned in either human or beast form.
Really? Dude must be playing on a western digital green hdd. Maybe it's because i have a raid stripe set up as my load times average about 3sec. I assume people with ssd have pretty much instant loads. edit: oh good god, i just watched his playthrough. it went through 3 protips before finishing loading. yea, that's extremely long as for the most part, most players will barely even read through one protip. they actually commented on that as one guy mentioned his loading wasn't nearly that long and it may be because of fraps... which may be true as he's capturing it at 1920x1080, which would be tearing up his hdd.
Came across a dragon that actually ate me today. Just after I killed a easy one too. I had it down to the last bit of its health too, but without potions I am buggered so I may have to skip it. Reached level 70 in smithing too, so 20 more and I can make the best set.
Yeah, I've been a werewolf since day one. I never use it though because 1. You can't block so against tougher enemies like mages you can get killed really easily. 2. It's no good against lone, hard enemies. It's only useful against groups of weak guys. 3. You can't change back whenever you want which leads me to point 4. 4. You can't open chests or pick stuff up as a werewolf, I once turned into a werewolf, killed the enemies really quickly then had to spend the next few minutes waiting for the damn thing to wear off so I could open the chest next to them. 5. Your skills don't get trained if you're a werewolf since you're not using them. 6. It's much quicker and easier for me to kill enemies with my sword. In summary, there's no point me turning into a werewolf.
