Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

  1. That reminds me of something that happened in Dark Souls. I was grabbed from above and chewed up by a giant rock worm, an absolutely disgusting creature in the fiery depths. I would much rather be eaten by a dragon.

  2. Did you know that any crimes you commit as a werewolf will not count against you in human form? You just have to make sure nobody sees the transformation either way.

  3. One of the quests gives you a ring that gives you complete control over when you are/aren't a werewolf. And you don't need to have the disease to use it.

  4. What, so you can transform when you like and for as long as you like?

  5. Anyone struggling with this sudden quit to desktop bug. I'm getting very sick of that happening.

  6. It's hit me a few times, most annoyingly at the end of a long dungeon that wasn't segmented into different areas, so no autosave took place.

Oh just a tip for those a bit strapped for cash try alchemy, you can make a serious amount of cash by buying out all the ingredients from a store and selling all the potions you make back; especially with a certain quest reward that relates to a familiar person from an earlier title.

  7. I've noticed that it is bound to crash very soon when I start getting purple textures. I'm not sure what's causing that, but if I hit F12 to snap a picture, it's crashed 100% of the time.

  8. I get the purple textures too. Seems to only happen after a long play session. After an hour or so the crashes and textures get worse.

  9. Fast travel! Have you sprinted as a werewolf? It's probably the fasted travel in the game next to a dragon flight.

  10. If I really wanted to get somewhere fast I would actually fast travel. The werewolf just seems like a bit of an afterthought as it makes little to no impact on your game as far as I can see.

Doesn't your game save when you go into the menu? There's an option that I'm pretty sure is on by default that means that if you go into your menu and it's been more than 15 minutes since your last save it auto saves for you, this has saved me some time when doing long dungeons.

  11. Most of my stuff is hotkeyed so I don't use the menu too much.

  12. The joy of the PS3 version means I can play hours on end and no crash. It does get quite buggy some times though.

  13. The PC version is pretty much bug free too, assuming you have an nvidia video card.

    It's a mess on ATI/AMD cards.

  14. Wait until your save file exceeds 6mb, you'll soon be begging for the patch like me.

  15. The crashes that I've experienced on the 360 are all within the save/load menu. However, I haven't lost any save information. It appears to save and then just hang and you have to restart. I've also had some extremely choppy frame rates in very limited/specific areas, such as one of the bridge areas near Solitude. As for bugs, there have been a few limited "hovering object" instances where dropped items appear to hover 10 feet in the air.

I've also killed the same Silver Hand bandit leader twice. The first time around, they died but their corpse never appeared as a searchable item. Then, much later in the game, they appeared again within the same hideout as part of a different side quest.

  16. Ok now that my alchemy, enchanting and smithing are all at 100 and I have all the perks that boost my abilities in each I went about making some potions that fortify my smithing by 147% and 4 pieces of gear that fortify my smithing by 29% each. With that I now have Daedric armour with a total armour rating of 1000 and Deadric swords that deal 348 damage each, tis good fun.

Oh and I'd also like to add that I have enchanted all my armour and 2 pieces of jewellery so now I have a 80% boost to one-handed and two-handed damage as well as restoration and destruction spells being free to cast, so I can spam the most powerful spells as much as I wish.

  17. Put simply you're invincible. I ask you, does the game become boring when you know you can't be killed?

  18. But you can't fast travel to somewhere you haven't been.

  19. In that case I enjoy the adventure of trekking to the new location.
