Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

  1. Honestly, no it doesn't. I enjoy making game-breaking characters and then messing around with them. I was LITERALLY invincible in the last title as I had 101% damage reflection and 100% spell absorption, I could stand still and let melee fighters kill themselves and it was hilarious to do.

  2. Oh I love going to new locations and the trek there, but after that hell if I am going to walk back that way.

    @Armitage

So the more fortify smithing upgrades you have the better you can upgrade things?

  3. That's correct, you can get things to absolutely insane levels at the upper end by doing that.

  4. Restoration has to be one of the hardest skills to level. Any tips? I use the low level healing spell and a few mud crabs.

  5. I'll have to invest some time and resources into those three jobs then. Much better to enjoy the game without worry of being under powered for certain areas.

  6. Yeah I thought alchemy was pretty useless until I found out about those monster fortify smithing potions you can make when you reach 100.

  7. Sleep in an bed you own to get the well rested buff and use the mage stone in conjunction with your mudcrabs so you can get the most out of it. I also use those soul gem defenses that shoot fire, like the one at the top of hags rock.

  8. It's not necessary at all; I just did it because I'm a bit of a stat-whore I guess. It was nagging at me that I didn't have the best gear possible.

I've also found out that if you have enchantments that give you a 100% reduction in spell cost in a certain school of magic, then weapon enchantments that relate to those schools do not drain in charge when you use the weapon. So I have a Daedric Great sword that deals 36 points of fire damage and absorbs 28 points of health per hit and does not lose charge.

  9. Lol so am I, which is why I love RPGs so much. I always love being over powered before I should be.

Great tips mate I will use them when I next play. Not played for two days as been doing other things for once lol.

  10. I’ve been upping my sneak and archery skills. What a blast. If I ever replay I’ll start off with that. I wish the sneak attack bonuses worked with destruction magic. Do the archery perks apply to a conjured bow?

  11. Yes they should, the perks seem to apply to the conjured sword anyway.

  12. Yes, they do. I get 3x damage when sneaking with the conjured bow. I've never actually used a real bow yet and my archery is around 70.

  13. Patch news! PC world had this to say.

  14. As long as the framerate issues I have been getting on the PS3 version is fixed, then I am happy. Can anyone confirm it?

  15. I like the way they called it "occasional performance issues" where most of us call it a game breaking bug. It was really the only thing that really got to me in terms of problems with this game. You're trying to walk around in a city and it would stutter and you'd suddenly be a few steps ahead of where you were and trying to talk to people became a hassle. It instantly sucked me out of the fantasy, I hope it really is fixed.

  16. It's been fixed, I have had no problems since the update.

Finally got my smithing to 90 so now I just need 6 hearts and ebony ingots to make my Daedric armour set and weapon. Going to do the Asura quest as I think you can get some.

    Edit:

Damn, I need to learn magic to access the mages guild. I learned that conjunction spell to get in but I dont have enough magic to use it. Any tips on how to solve this problem?

  17. LOL! That sounds hilarious and creepy.

  18. Strange, I was asked to perform a destruction spell to get in. When she said she was going to test me I immediately thought of the recommendations in Oblivion but all I had to do was cast a firebolt at the ground and I'm in. Their standards are obviouly much lower than the Arcane University's lol. Also that's the beauty of being a battlemage, you can do everything.

  19. I had that issue. You can reload your game if she requests for you to do a spell you can't use. Her requests are random each time. But apparently she also lets you pass with a dragonshout. I'm not sure when dialogues you pick to do that but it's possible. I was going to do that but then she asked me to cast a healing spell I had already knew, so I passed with that.

  20. Weekend at Bernie's in Skyrim.
