  1. So what companions do people use? I've been using Farkas. He cant die and doesn't mind me turning into a werewolf.

  2. Companions get in my way during battles and slow me down outside of battles. Shinji needs no companion.

  3. they are good mules.. assuming you need a mule.

since i replied.. i still use my level 8 lydia. i gave her a full set of dwarven armor.. actually i just gave her 2 pieces of ebony armor and she's wielding some enchanted glass warhammer i found.

  4. I still have Lydia in a full set of the Blades armour I found near Alduins wall. Will be creating her a full set of Dragon armour at some point as I use her as a tank.

Wait, once you recruit a follower they stay at that level?

  5. My character seems a bit too powerfull sometimes, I can spam as many restoration and destruction spells as I want free of charge (especially one awesome distruction master spell) and my Daedric two-handed weapons deal damage in the 440-450 range and about 70 damage from enchantments.

  6. I reaching the point where I have a game breaking character who's practically invincible similar to armitage. I don't really need a companion other than as a pack mule.

  7. I still get wrecked by snow bears and sabrecats

  8. Those things seem to be able to run as fast as a horse at full gallop and are more persistent about chasing you than standard bears.

  9. I've used Uthgerd the Unbroken and Cosnach the most. Cosnach....I have no idea how he hasn't died in some of the situations I've been in earlier in the game when my character was weaker.

  10. The only things that can kill me are really powerful mage types. For some reason even though my armour is enchanted with a total of something like resist magic 35% he still gets pwned by high level spells. Anything else just isn't an issue. The other day I started fighting a dragon and I wandered into a Giant's camp and ended up killing the dragon, two giants, and three mammoths in one almighty battle, it was easy, and this is before I make my ultimate armour and weapons.

I now have the required perks to make said armour. Does anyone know if the level of your alchemy skill affects potion strengths, or if it's just the perks that do that? I want to know if it's worth me finishing off the last 20 levels of alchemy or not.

    Skills at level 100:

    Smithing
    Block
    Heavy Armour
    One-Handed
    Enchanting

  11. The giants have actual camps? I've just encountered them wandering around the country side. I guess I need to stop fast traveling everywhere and get out and do some exploring.

  12. I've only ever seen them at their camps. They show up on the map looking kind of like a mammoths face. There's usually two giants and two mammoths. I've seen 4 or 5 on my travels, I don't know how you can miss the compass markers let alone a large roaring fires they always have going. Come out of white run and head west across the tundra, there's a camp in the middle of the plains there.

  13. Wow, apparently there is a way to boost smithing and enchantments to absolutely insane levels via a bug with fortify restoration potions. I haven't been able to get it to work myself so it could be a well played hoax, but if it isn't then you could get gear that deals damage in the millions.

Also, I'm attempting to get my resistances through the roof. I've already capped damage resistance and now I'm working on block and magic resistance. I get up to 85% magic resistance and then stack elemental resistances on top to get to a maximum of 97.75 resistances to fire, frost and shock attacks. I should be able to get quite close to my old Oblivion characters invincible status if I manage to get it done correctly.

  14. Ok, even this is going a bit far for even my tastes...

  15. How to make an amazing game really boring.

  16. Not at all, for some it's fun just finding ways to become ultimate in the game. Different tastes is all.

  17. My Brenton with perks has a natural 55% resistance now which is really nice. With potions and equipment I can get that up to 85%. Mages are no longer an issues for me unless they conjure up an Atronach but even if they do I can send those away. I also do double damage to undead so I can dish out about 200 damage per second to them.

Orc's with two handed weapons are what I fear most. Powerful archers would be a close second.

  18. To kill the leader of the Greybeards or not? I like him so those other two can jog on.

Anyone know where I can find some awesome enchanted gear to disenchant? I am finding it hard as I have not come across that much, only like 8 enchantment spells thus far.

  19. I just buy them from the vendor and disenchant them myself. Money gets trivial later on... unless you want to powerlevel some things that you can't really exploit easily.

  20. Not seen any vendors sell them. Which citys?

That guy looks far to much like a doll...
