Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

  1. I still need to finish the main quest. I've finished pretty much everything else.

  2. If I take that Dragon and fly to the end place to fight the end Dragon boss, can I warp back to Skyrim and later call that Dragon back to go back to that place? I need to deliver a weapon to the Jarl in Whiterun for the Stormcloaks quest but cannot when the Dragon is in Dragonsreach as talking to the Jarl will not bring up that quest speech.

  3. Once you travel with the dragon you can't leave until you've been to that "special place" (which is easily the best looking place in the game). Go prepared though as there's loads of death lords and dragons, loads.

  4. So I can go back to Skyrim before I complete the main quest? As the Stormcloaks questline goes null once you complete the main quest I read!

  5. No, once you've flown with the dragon you CANNOT go back until it's all done and you CANNOT return afterwards.

  6. How annoying. Sounds like I will not be able to get my Stormcloak trophy's unless I restart the game and no way am I going through all that again.

    *sighs

  7. No that's incorrect, you can do the Stormcloak quest line after the Main Quest line.

  8. Ah, top man Armitage. That helps a lot. I thought I was done for.

  9. If you need to boost your speech (if only for xp) then visit the Black Briar Meadery in Riften and speak to a dark elf named Ungrien. Ask him to tell you about Maven Black Briar then choose the persuade option that follows. You can repeat this as many times as you like so just sit there spamming your interact button until you've had your fill.

    Enjoy.

  10. I put a lot of effort into a side quest last night which ended with a pretty tough triple boss fight and feel cheated by my reward the Gauldar Amulet.

To visit 3 dungeons, kill 3 bosses and then have to fight them all over again one after the other and only get that! Still loads to do, have barely touched the map so am very happy with the value I am getting from this game.

So far with the major sidequests.

Need to find the Staff of Magnus in the Winterhold College quest line
Need to kill 3 people for the Dark Brotherhood
Need to find the thieves guild
Need to retake some area in the pale for the Imperials

Doing a bit of everything all over the place. Wish I hadn't of finished the quest with Barbas quest line, he seemed to be invincible, should have kept him around. Would have been nice to have him when fighting the caller to get the books back.

I have pretty much decided to go for a Destruction/Illusion build. Being able to get enemies to kill each other is fantastic, just need to level up Illusion a bit so I can use it on the undead. Seeing as every dungeon seems to feature draugr it would be handy.

Very much enjoying this and with soooo much to do will be playing it for a long time yet. Had to turn off autosaves as it would crash my PS3 but its seems OK now.

Must kill some dragons so that I can use the shouts I keep finding.

  11. That amulet gives you +30 to health, magicka AND stamina. Thats the equivalent of levelling up 9 times, none too shabby.

  12. As a mage it is nothing too special, I want gear that gives me faster Magicka regain, its OK having the points to start with but if it takes 3 minutes to restore I am going to die anyway.

  13. True. Sell it then. You could consider the xp gained from the quests as a reward.

  14. I thought the quests to get it were pretty tedious, but it was worth it in the end.

  15. I didn't mind it as I had already been near most of the locations so getting to the caves was easy enough. Wasn't happy when I saw the 3 of them wanted another fight one after the other at the end but managed to do it first time which I was happy enough about. I think the thing that helped the most was the middle one that teleported about, he was so easy to kill it gave me a nice little break before the one that was immune to magic.

  16. Same here. I pretty much give up everything else for a faster regen. I think I'm up to about 450%.

  17. Has anyone else experienced a companion going missing during the 'Choosing Sides' quest line? Farkas had been following me and had participated in some of the early Fort assaults without any issues, but then inexplicably disappeared during a minor operation against a Stormcloak caravan. He wasn't killed, but hasn't reappeared after fast travel and doesn't seem to be in Whiterun. He had some rather valuable loot on him that I hadn't been able to carry, so I'm wondering where the "f" he is.

  18. Has it been 3 days yet? I heard they reset to their home location after that time period.

  19. I guess if it hasn't been 3 days yet, it should be fairly close to that. I did another fort assault and then the main city assault at Windhelm, plus various fast travels related to that quest line after he disappeared. However, my horse also vanished during a fort assault and then recently reappeared back at the Whiterun stables. Ugh, I need that loot...

  20. If your playing on the PC you can teleport him to your location using the console commands.
