Fraid not, she counts as a 'human'. She is pretty poor anyway and I would stick with Arcade for the most part, just use her for her quest chain and leave it at that. Veronica is a much better close combat partner and I think the only companion I used less than Lily was Raul who was a pain to get but then turned out to be pretty rubbish.
The game is still this glitchy more than six months out from launch? I'm glad I didn't bother with this one.
That's the worst part, the game is so good that even though it would always crash one me at least once a play session I couldn't stop playing it and always went back for more. Fantastic game, fantastically poor developers...
Boon has made the game pretty easy. I mostly use him as bait and pick of the monsters that are attacking him. He has a pretty bad bug though. When he gets close to an enemy he’ll go into melee mode but he’ll constantly draw and put his weapon away without actually attacking anything. His mission was pretty good though as I got to destroy all of Caesars legion.
Kind of related to this thread, I'm trying to finish up fallout 3 at the minute. Was it buggy as he'll for other people? I'm getting freezes pretty regularly. What is it with Bethesda and bugs? Jebus, it's annoying.
For me it froze every 2-3 hours, at least once is a single session. I almost finished one of the possible paths through the game but got Demon's Souls then.
Yeah, my FO3 copy didn't freeze all that much, but it did suffer from horrible graphical corruption quite regularly. To the point where the colour inversions and random polygons made it impossible to actually play so it forced me to restart the game.
Hmmmm, sounds like the ps3 version is a bit more prone then. Bugger. On another note, if I change my karma standing to neutral from good by the time I hit level 26, will I get the previous trophies for reaching levels 8 and so on with neutral karma?
If the same system is implemented as on the 360 then no, you wont. Simply because the trigger for the achievement is for having that karma when you reach that particular level, not afterwards.
Gah, thought that might be the case. Luckily I have OCD when it comes to saving in games like these so I should be able to travel back and get the trophies I need. Cheers for the advice, old bean.
Have to say I've really enjoyed Fallout 3; I'm near to fully completing the original now but I've yet to touch the expansions. Is Vegas a good sequel? Any up or downsides to be wary of?
Vegas's only downside was the extreme amount of bugs it had, but even then they weren't actually so bad and most have been corrected as of now. Infact, it improved on FO3 in nearly ever avenue and those where it did not improve, stayed consistant.
I've completed Fallout3 with all the expansions but have only played small bit of New Vegas. I've seen plenty of other people playing it though and I have to say it seems less serious than 3. I felt Fallout 3 had a very chilling and serious feel to it, watching people play New Vegas made me think it's more of a parody than a sequel.
I thought NV was a fantastic addition to the Fallout franchise and took it quite seriously. Overall I probably enjoyed NV more as there was more to do and some of the areas were more varied than the ones in Fallout 3. The Capital Wasteland felt very grey from start to finish and although NV feels very brown at least you have the strip to brighten it up.
I would take a break before playing NV. Play too much Fallout at once and you might get bored with it. FO3 Tougher battles More mutants More robots Better Perks More serious A little scary NV Lots of bugs More humor More Drama Some parody Less epic Mostly fight humans
Wait, you obviously never played NV on very hard-hardcore, because if you did you'd never say that ANY fight in FO3 was harder.
Cheers for the advice, everyone. Have to say I've really loved playing Fallout 3 - it never clicked at first and I restarted a few times but it's rather special indeed. I've only got the final mission to go now and a few trophies to get. What order should the DLC be done in? I was figuring on Mothership Zeta first as it's meant to be the worst and Point Lookout last as it's meant to be the best but I have no clue regarding the others.
