Fascism in America

  1. Here's the problem with thinking cameras will solve everything. Once the brutality and thuggery starts, the cops will just turn them off.

  2. I came across a video called 'if you did this in American', made me think of you guys.

  3. In the US: tasered, shot 50 times with assault rifles, and his corpse eaten by attack dogs. All of the cops involved would get paid leave and promotions to cushy desk jobs.

  4. Totally necessary to cuff the guy after he's dead because you emptied a clip into him. Broken taillight = death sentence.

  5. wow, unreal. Looks straight out of Chappelle Show.

He just casually walks the taser over to the dead body to set up an clean shoot. I bet his body cams mysteriously malfunctioned too... what's crazy is even with that video I give better than 50/50 chance at an acquittal.

  6. Yeah his cover story was that the guy struggled for the taser. So basically we have a cop on camera murdering someone and then staging a crime scene.

All this because the guy had a broken taillight. And he was black.

He may get off. It's the South. Then if he stays with the department he'll get promoted to a cushy desk job. Or if he leaves he'll sue for 7 figures.

  7. This actually belongs in the funny videos thread... these cops aren't fascist as much as they are grossly incompetent.

  8. That was fucking hilarious. The people of Walmart are classy folks who never cease to amuse. So many points of hilarity, like the old woman saying "I'm sorry," all the stuff about nazis and "you're hitting children." It's sad that it took that many cops to subdue a bunch of fat brawling Walmart shoppers. I guess one of the idiot cops shot himself in the leg at some point? I thought the tipped over fatty cart was a nice touch too.

I also lol'ed at how in the news story for this the police chief watched the video and said he was proud of the conduct of his (incredibly incompetent) officers who spent 10 minutes struggling to subdue some fat homeless people outside of a walmart.

  9. Turns out that group of people was actually a family that performed as a Christian end-of-times band.

  11. Those guys must be pretty desperate to use their tactical toys if they're going to SWAT a farm cow.

  12. I saw the McKinney footage when it first came out for barrel roll lolz. It was a funny video then about how a cop tripped but recovered like a boss by doing a barrel roll!

It's blown up into a big thing since then... It's interesting to see how the media reported this. Most stories and video edits make it seem the cop pulled a gun on harmless teens. He actually pulled a gun on one person after they definitely took a potentially threatening stance. Cop was still an idiot, but the news stories cut the clip in such a way that makes him look worse than it was.

Was interesting to observe how it played out.

    Barrel roll @ 5 sec
    Gun @ 3:10

  13. He looked like a complete maniac in the clips I saw, pulling a gun and attacking kids, including a young girl in a bikini whose head he slammed into the ground. I don't really see how there could be any justification for that behavior. If these were white kids, he would be in jail now facing assault and child endangerment charges and there would be no debate over whether his behavior was justified.

  14. He was pissed off about having to run, he even tells those kids that lolol. He was definitely too aggressive with that girl, but he doesn't pull a gun until the blue cap/purple shirt guy stances up on him.

  15. If a cop attacked a wealthy teenage white girl like this, he would be looking at prison time and a massive lawsuit. The racism and double standards in the country are absurd. People are only looking for justification because the kids were black.

If he can't even handle a bunch of relatively harmless kids without acting like a psycho, he shouldn't be a cop. This was not a tense situation. It was just some rowdy kids who maybe needed a lecture. He made it a tense situation by acting fucking nuts.

  16. There are a few dozen videos on Youtube that would prove you wrong. Cops are assholes to everyone... I suspect it's due to the effects of militarization. They totally have a us vs them mentality regardless of how insignificant the scenario is.

  17. True I guess you could say that the cop's overreaction is also part of a wider trend of militarization of police. But this was definitely racially motivated. The whole thing started with some white woman slinging racial slurs about section 8 housing and calling the cops on the black kids because she didn't want them in her neighborhood.

  18. There's no justification for any of it. It's obvious that there's just a bunch of teenagers milling around in an upscale neighborhood. The cops look like they're trying to escalate the situation themselves by running around like they're storming the beach at D-Day and then shoving people to the ground for no good reason. You can tell the fast-draw guy just sees it as an opportunity to prove he has power over everyone else. He's not trying to keep the peace. He's looking for an excuse.

  19. All they needed to do was tell anyone who wasn't invited to clear out. No beating kids or gun waving necessary.

If the guy couldn't stay calm and just do that, he shouldn't be a cop. Thankfully, he resigned.

  20. Exactly, and the police chief for McKinney even publicly admitted that the guy was "out of control" and wasn't following proper procedures for that type of situation.
