Fascism in America

  1. Weren't you guys supporting Ron Paul earlier in the election cycle? He's pretty much the ultimate neo-con in sheep's clothing.

  2. Overall, Obama hasn't had the opportunity to sign that many bills. The split Congress has meant that there aren't many bills that can pass, and the House and Senate are setting records for how few bills are even brought to the floor for a vote. Obama has been saddled with a "do nothing" Congress since 2010. He can't even get judicial nominees seated, which in the past was largely a formality with some political posturing attached.

  3. I think I explained I was supportive to his opposition to indefinite detention and other crooked laws, not the Libertarians' ideology. Their positions on many things are revolting. I really don't have anyone to represent my beliefs. "Campaign Obama" sounds the most appealing, but it turns out to mostly be complete bullshit and has little in common with President Obama.

  4. That's highly exaggerated. Obama didn't campaign as a progressive, but rather as a moderate who wanted to achieve bipartisanship. The problem is that Obama's idea of bipartisanship was the version where both sides make concessions in order to reach agreement on constructive governance, while the GOP's idea of bipartisanship was the version where Democrats simply capitulate to GOP policy. It's true that the Obama administration made mistakes in regards to the GOP, and seemed slow in realizing that the GOP had no real intention of compromising when it came to policy. If anything, the Obama administration was too eager to live up to the bipartisan campaign promises.

  5. Just what we need! Another multi-billion dollar intelligence agency! All the ones we currently have are too busy spying on US Citizens, so instead of policy change throw more money at the problem.

  6. They need to chop it down to just the FBI and CIA. The NSA and Homeland Security have no reason for existing. And the lack of communication between all of these agencies is why our intelligence community is so useless.

The TSA is another thing that needs to go. It's all just security theater anyway. I'm not sure what having overglamorized mall cops groping grannies and sending pretty girls through the porno scanners really accomplishes.

  7. I agree. Everything but the cia and fbi are redundant and very likely ineffective. I really thought obama was going to chop this out if control military industrial complex bullshit.

  8. Pretty much what we all said would happen with SOPA has happened. They just renamed their "censor the internet and crush all dissent" bill something else and passed it once the uproar had died down. Obama is a spineless wimp who never vetoes anything, so this will definitely pass.

  9. I'm probably not going to vote. What's the point? They're all neocons who don't give a crap about anyone but corporations and the super rich. The common man has no representation in our current government. What this country needs is an FDR type of figure who will fight for the rest of us, but there's no one like that running. Given the choice between a douche and a turd, I chose not voting.

  10. Isn't there an obvious lesser of two evils? Over here, I wasn't keen on labour or the conservatives but it was pretty obvious the Tories would be the worser option.

  11. People who say worser shouldn't be allowed to vote.

  12. I don't think there is much of a choice anymore. Miliband seems so gormless that I wouldn't trust him to manage the bank in a game of monopoly, Clegg is probably one of the most hated men in Britain for his alliance with EVIL and Cameron is seen as a posh boy out to help his rich chums.

But at least Cameron knows the price of a pint of milk.

  13. I'm going to grammer and spelling trolling spree now.

  14. That's exactly what the neo-cons want people to do: get discouraged with government, not vote, and hand the keys over to them so that they can finish dismantling the government. Reinforcing negative views of government is high on the neo-con agenda.

  15. I can't wait 8)

  16. CIA warcriminal moron Jose Rodrigez brags about torturing people on 60 Minutes.

This jerkoff was an authority figure in the fucking CIA?!? He's currently on a book tour. No charges were filed against him. I hope he extends his book tour throughout Europe, especially in The Netherlands. He should make a stop at The Hague.

  17. The DEA threw some random college student in a holding cell and forgot about him for the better part of a week. He hadn't actually done anything, and was never even arrested or charged. He just happened to be at a party where people were doing drugs. With no water, he nearly died of dehydration and kidney failure.

  18. North Carolina passes a gay marriage ban. No surprises there. North Carolina is a redneck shithole full of retarded hillbillies. Half of the people voting for this probably married their cousins.

  19. From what I've read, about half of the people didn't realize this measure eliminated civil unions as well, which they tend to find less objectionable. But why bother to actually find out what legislation says before casting your vote? That's jus' too much thinkin' 'fer me.

  20. what does that make me?!?!
