http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/13/us/judge-blocks-controversial-indefinite-detention-law.html Judge Forester has made the injunction against the 2011 NDAA clause allowing indefinite detention without charge, trial, or legal representation permanent. The conversion to total fascism has been slowed slightly.
Canada, US... it's all the same thing anyway right? I mean other than I just shipped a package there for 50 bucks when I could get one acrossed the country for 10! still, very little difference.
Hell I remember back in the day, I sold my voodoo 2 on half.com and shipped that thing in a big box for like $4-$5 priority. Fast forward to today, I just sold wow burning crusade collector's edition and it almost $13 just for parcel post. That asshole will get his purchase... it'll just take 10 days or so... bahahaa
I know I only put 15$ for international and I gotta eat like 35 bucks of my profit!! lol luckily I sold it for a TONAGE so I end up with a little more than I expected but. I guess the bidder included shipping into her equation and couldn't find a better deal. Mine was Witcher 2 CE, everything but the game, OST and DLC. They give so much stuff with that CE though omiting those things is hardly much of it. ________________________________________ oh and the game guide you get with it xD I swiped that.
I was able to sell mine for $140 so I made a ridiculous profit. Makes my complaint seem silly now, but I haven't really shipped anything from the post office in many many years so my jaw just dropped when I heard what the cheapest shipping price would be.
Shooting a mentally ill, homeless wheelchair bound amputee? Wow, American cops have hit a new low. And the cops were seriously such candyasses that they were afraid of getting stabbed with a fucking felt tipped pen?
More training problems. They're trying to apply what they are taught to do with the general population in a group home. They tazed and arrested a black deaf lady (who was the victim who called them in the first place), they shot a bewildered mentally ill guy +40 times, and now they've executed a mentally ill amputee in a wheelchair, who was wielding a pen. Why would they think an amputee in a wheelchair housed in a group home setting would be carrying around a firearm? They aren't competent.
Yeah, not competent in the sense of not having the skills to understand and interact with certain populations. Expecting someone with major physical disabilities or mental illness to be able to understand their commands and drop to the ground with their hands behind their head and shooting them repeatedly if they don't immediately do it doesn't make a lot of sense. They tazed the shit out of a deaf black lady a month ago because she didn't immediately respond to their verbal commands (what a surprise; she's fucking deaf!). She was the one who contacted them for help. They knew the victim was deaf from when she called. Yet they just fall back to the same basic guidelines that apply to the general population, screaming that she stop moving towards them, which she of course could not hear, and then tazed the daylights out of her and arrested her. She was assaulted by an attacker in her home, called the police in response to this, and then was tazed and arrested by the police and held for 60 days without an interpreter (illegally). These people don't know what they are doing or just don't give a fuck at this point.
as far as the deaf lady maybe she was all hectic and they basically knocked her out to get her to calm down. Does that show incompetence? yes, maybe, but it's not nearly as bad as all the rest. all they did was taze her... that's what a tazer is FOR. not to say that 'guns kill ppl' or anything, not excusing the incompetence, this is deffinitely a case of ppl killing ppl and just using the gun as a tool, just saying you try calming down a big black deaf lady. If one had a quick means like a tazer in his back pocket I don't see why he wouldn't use it. It's not like it's lethal force or anything.
Except when it is lethal. http://rt.com/usa/news/500-taser-law-enforcement-503/ And "big black deaf lady"? Sounds a bit stereotypical.
I couldn't sleep and just took a little political quiz that compares my positions with the positions of candidates. I answered all questions, including the extra optional questions. isidewith.com Jill Stein, Green Party 93% (Campaign) Barack Obama, "Democrat" 86% Rocky Anderson, Justice 76% Gary Johnson, Libertarian 55% Mitt Romney, Republican 7% Virgil Goode, Ku Klux Klan 3% (I think we agree only on ending the war in Afghanistan and declaring war through Congress) It pisses me off that there is such a strong similarity of my positions with Campaign Obama, as he's proven he's full of shit on most of those issues and is in reality not that far left of the crazy neocons, particularly regarding authoritarian rule. I'm not sure who will even be formal options for me, as my state has quite prohibitive restrictions against ballot access for third party candidates. I'll probably have to write-in Rocky Anderson or Jill Stein, as neither will be on the ballot here.
Obama has always campaigned as a moderate that is open to bipartisan compromise. If anything, he tried too hard to keep that promise, trying to make deals for too long with a House GOP that would always move the goalposts when offered concessions.
That's quite a compromise. In fairness, most of the industrialized world is being taken over by the same type of fascist-leaning authoritarians. It's not just the US, although it's especially bad here.
Only if you accept that chart's premise that "libertarian" is the opposite of "authoritarian", which it isn't. Libertarianism is actually neo-feudalism, where authority comes from money and power, not representative government.
