Final Fantasy XIII-2

  1. It's actually going to have a decent story unlike FFXIII. I will be getting it as I need some JRPG in my life.

  2. I was going to watch it but I don't want to see all those cut scenes before I play the game. I'm not expecting this game to be anything special but I'm buying it just because I loved the story of the original.

  3. In case no one knows, the FFXIII-2 demo is out on the Europe PSN now. I am downloading it as we speak so hopefully it is good as people have been making out this last two weeks.

  4. So unlike the previous -2's this could have a better story than the original? I guess it's not as hard this time around... I might have to keep an eye on this one afterall.

  5. Everything points to it being better. Storywise time travel > Crystalfal'ciesomethingsomethingorother.

Download the demo and give it a try.

  6. You mean the epic battle against destiny itself to prevent the inevitable destruction of the world? I loved the story of XIII, I doubt this game will top it. I'm getting it anyway.

  7. This will be the first Final Fantasy game since the 90's that I haven't gone out and purchased at release. On reflection FFXIII was a very dull game and as a result I have no desire to play it ever again which also means that I have little desire to play anything based on it.

I might get it when it goes to £10 or so but what previously was my favourite and most anticipated series of games has almost disappeared from my must have list thanks to XIII.

  8. Will this be a little girl dress up game like Final Fantasy X-2?

  9. You joke but X-2 was a better JRPG and a much better game in general than FFXIII.

  10. Of course it was. The girls could sing and dance in cheesy J-pop songs once you dressed them up.

  11. Give the demo a try mate, I enjoyed it and it only takes 30 mins unless you grind on it.

    I actually enjoyed it.

  12. not they couldn't play soccer.

  13. Which aspect? The dressing up or the J-pop acts?

  14. I thought FFX-2 just felt really really real I liked it for that. I ferget what it was, but it was just something they did with the sphere... the way they had it before was just really really redundant. I didn't like FFX (beat it though... so I guess I liked it enough), I DID really like FFX-2 though. As far as the mechanics go. Pity though, as the J-pop crap was just INSANELY stupid. I didn't really get very far, probably just completed the first mission that's all, it wasn't my game though I probably would buy it for cheap... pretty much like the other M if I was a fan of backtracking and shit. I'd buy it if I found it for cheap :D

  15. I'm a big Macross fan, a little Jpop wouldn't faze me xD

  16. The return of the FFVI style ATB. Quick thinking. The jobs were good and the side missions were good. Rikuu is hot.

  17. So what outfits did you dress her up in?

  18. X is awesome. The Sphere grid is the best learning thing and just beats the materia system.

    FFX HD soon

  19. FF 3/6 on the SNES was the only one I ever liked. I liked the darker tone and steampunk setting. Kefka was a great villain.

They should just remake that one instead of cranking out all of these terrible sequels.

  20. They remade FFIII and FFIV so hopefully V and VI are next, and in 3D on the 3DS hopefully. ;)
