Not so sure about that, played both back to back recently and XIII-2 has a lot of flaws, not least: Small rehashed environments. Poor graphics (FFXIII was top notch in this department). Relatively Poor story. Limited and small levelling system. I don't think I am going to be bothered with Lightning Returns or whatever they called it.
Into chapter 2 and finding this odd still, the battles feel so alien for a FF game. All action and nothing else, abilities are limited and magic is a bit pointless. hmmm. Even the FFXIII battle system had some variety!
Seems weird to me, too. Lighting and HDR effects are beautiful, but the game itself seems peculiar. I may have to swap to Japanese language. Too many atrocious southern accents. I think I'm also getting strange vibes from the combat system. Maybe I'll get used to it over time.
