With further segregation of OS's between devices are Google only going to make the existing gap even wider? When and in what form will we see v3.0 improvements come to the smartphone version of Android OS? Perhaps the next release will be 2.5 and bring some of these major changes. Personally I don't think that creating further division was the answer Google needed for Android OS.
Google mentioned that they will be incorporating honeycomb elements together with the mobile os in what we believe will be Ice Cream. I think it will coincide with their 6 month cycle announcement. So once 2.4 gets released, we can assume ice cream will be 6 months after.
